My friend, I wish I could use my straight more often during the week. The trouble is that during the week I'm usually in a hurry to get ready for work. Also, my Saturday routine doesn't always allow a straight shave but at least I could enjoy myself more with a DE.

Well...Was in a real hurry today as the wife and I were headed out to see Man of Steel, so it was the incredible 10 min. shave. I asked SWMBO whether I should go fruity, light and clean or manly...She chose manly, so she got the Tabac and Innsbruck! This may have actually been the best shave yet! This brush has been a little neglected in the rotation as I have found that I enjoy the real badger more. That is until I face-lathered with it today. It will be neglected no more. This brush has ultra soft bristles with an extremely healthy backbone and just screams to be face-lathered. The Silver/Blue, what can I say? I got my first true BBS in a while, without trying and no touch up necessary. Not only that, but I actually had to check at one point to see if the blade was actually in the razor, because it was so smooth I could hardly feel it. Impressed!

    Have a great evening all!

youngunn Where's my TSD aftershave balm???

    SOTD Saturday night

Prep: Hot shower, Nivea Energy Preshave scrub, Shave Secret oil
Music: Google Play Music on shuffle
    Razor: '46/7 Aristocrat
    Blade: Supermax Platinum
    Soap: Van der Hagen Deluxe
    Cream: TOBS Sandalwood
    Brush: AOS pure badger
Shave: 4 passes, Gillette slide on throat, buffing on chin
Post: cold water, Thayer's lavender WH, Dirty English balm
    Pomade: Murray's Superior
    Cologne: John Varvatos Vintage

Haven't used my 'Crat in so long I forgot how it shaves... It is aggressive! My nicked upper lip and weeping neck (from Gillette slide) can attest to that. I have started to prefer the superspeed and merkur to this razor. But besides the little blood a very smooth shave was had from my super lathered cream and soap.

    G'night

Yesterday evening I took part in a 10km running race in my hometown and I managed to clock in at under an hour and it felt good. So this morning I celebrated with shaving off 2 and a half days worth of stubble. And since i felt like a champion I used Old Spice Champion.

Wowzer, what a delightful shave this morning - it must have taken at least an hour and a half between my shower and pre-shave prep. The Everest stuff is something I need to use more often because it's so good. The cream has a nice sporty scent with great lather and skincare. The menthol power is not like ISZ or anything like that, but it's still very nice and noticeable. Its corresponding aftershave balsam is also an eau de cologne and very cooling. Finally, a splash or two of Aqua Velva completed this heavenly shave. ;) :D

Happy Father's Day to all you other Papas! :)

JoAnna was giving out 2oz. portions as a weekly prize back when TSD was running a Fantasy Football league. All I had to do to win was choose who I thought would be high scorer for the week. I stuck with BillR and his Menthol Maulers and won twice!
As for the scent, I'm not one to pick out the nuances, but I really like it - woodsy? earthy?
What I do know is that it is not spicy, citrisy, aquatic, flowery

    Hi all together,

today i used my new "Pitralon Polar".I found it yesterday in a local drugstore...and had to buy it!!! I never saw it before...:)

So,since yesterday i´m having a cold and because of that the shave today was not so enjoyable as the shaves before...But i have done the best i could. :) Only one nick is ok for my condition. ;)

    I began the shave with:

    -Axe Chilled Face Wash
    -Merkur 34c
    -Gillette 7 o´clock (green)
    -Tabac Soap
    -HJM Synthetic Fibre brush
    -Pitralon Polar Aftershave

It was a fine shave. The Pitralon is a fantastic Aftershave. It cools nicely and the skin fell is absolutely gigantic!!! The only recommendation i could give to all of you:

    BUY IT!!!

Have a good time. May the lather be with you. :) And have a really nice Father´s Day.

P.S.: I just found something very interesting...follow the link:
