Ah, but you see, Gru is the evil one over here, so he has the evil laugh. The Minions are basically nice 'n' cute. Like me. ... Embarrassing silence ... No? *sigh*
Sorry about the quick disappearance last week everyone; I was deployed Friday morning at 0300 to help with the floods here in Southern Alberta and have been busy as heck ever since. Fortunately I was one of the experienced guys so I got tossed in as a Detachment Commander keeping me too busy to miss home much.
anyone ever taken a box full of old laptop speakers to make one large "audio output device"? got a bunch of speakers from old macbooks, contemplating possibilities...
In TSD withdrawal post wrist ops. Can use mouse now, so juvenile pics are back. Mwaaaaaaaaa! Tough work. *hat tip*
Maybe you could hobble something like this together: http://zao.jp/radio/parametric/index_e.php It's basically a "spotlight" of sound. You point it in a direction, and only people it's pointed at can hear it. Think of the havoc you could wreak with that! "Hey, Bill, It's me, your dog! You should totally go take a poop in the neighbors yard!" Think of the lulz to be had!
Ohpaos..just noticed your new Custom title. Congrads and it's not one of the usual humiliating ones lol...
on vacation. it's been approx. 3 years since I last took a real vacation where I totally let go of the reins for any amount of time. So where are we going? Wisconsin. To see the inlaws. Thank God I love my inlaws. And thank God Wisconsin is cooler than the Rio Grande Valley. I'm probably going to need pants and long sleeves- 80 degrees is cold to me now.
yeah, had actually thought of that, just not sure what direction I want to go. I need to determine what the needs are gonna be to drive the speakers, and go from there. I had actually had one idea of embedding a few in one of my bracelets, to connect to my MotoActv while I'm wearing it, but I'm betting there's gonna have to be an amp of some sort for them
Actually you can build a small amp pretty easily these days. You just need a spare altoids tin to house it in.
