Brrrrrr cold and beautiful is the best way to describe this shave - Irena created a winner with this Ice Mint soap. The scent is beautiful, it lathers so richly and easily, and the menthol power is STRONG. The 444 and the Rubby Dubby Doo delivered that extra freeze which makes me feel so good. ;) :D

I kinda feel like a bum this morning. Everything I shaved with was gifted to me by members. Thank you all, Jeff, Gary and Dean. Good shave and I really enjoyed the Lider SC. I did rehandle the HIS again and shortened the loft. Have a good one.

Fantastic shave today! I have smashed up my Arko stick into the bottom of ramekin. I pinch half way down the knot when I load the brush, and I have been getting great results with this method and hard soaps. Astras are awesome. They're sharp, comfortable, and versatile arcos the razor spectrum. Cold water splash followed by a liberal helping of AV for a BBS.

Chubby 2, Black Beauty, SuperMax Sunrise (2), TOBS Grapefruit, Old Spice Classic AS

I dug in with the Chubby a lot more than usual, and was rewarded with the amazing feeling of hot lather from deep within the brush exploding over my face. As the brush splayed open it felt definitely "scrubby," not "scritchy" the way it does when I just use the tips. There's no doubt in my mind that this is the correct way to use this brush, taking full advantage of the density these knots are known for. Today was the first time I've really had the "explosive lather" thing happen, and ended up with thick lather dripping off the brush and over-filling my bowl after two passes. Really great. The Old Spice was a good finish, although it has less bite than Pinaud's BR.

It's chilly and grey in Portland today, the warm Grapefruit lather was a nice pick-me-up.
