But it keeps raining out and the ground is soggy.. How else am I suppose to get kiddos drills in? It doesn't look good an assistant coach's kid isn't doing their practice drills.

 

Um.... .a little rain never killed anyone. 'Cuz back in my day we didn't even have nice weather. These kids today don't even know how good they got it. <harumph>

 

I'm not ready for August temps in June.


Our great dane, Lola (4th from right) had the right idea for hot days like we're currently experiencing. EVERYONE in the pool!

All siblings. One of ten pups in this litter. 3 Fawn (tan) & 7 Brindle (striped). 6 female; 4 male. My sis-in-law breeds them.
Lola was a gift. Good thing as they're priced out of my Pet Budget ($$$).

Lradke, have a great Canada Day race. Today has been nice for me. I got out early, to spend an hour at the archery range. Then, I went to Temple.

 

Looks like our temps here in Texas...in October...

At least the good news is I woke up this morning to our A/C unit make a loud humming noise, fan but spinning, and frozen lines......err, wait, no, that's not good....

 

What can I say? "California Softy" here.... I get a similar response (no sympathy) when I moan & groan when it's below 40°F here from my friend in the Berkshires when he's buried for 4 months under 6 feet of snow during the winter.

 

Oh, don't mistake me, you have my sympathies, heat is not to be trifled with. At least with cold, you can always add more layers....there's only so many layers of clothes that can be removed before someone calls the cops. And even then it's still too hot....

Thanks! I picked these up today on sale. I won't be wearing them for the race...don't think anyway...but I'm taking them out for a couple km tonight! They are MUCH nicer than my cheap Nike's.

These are the 15th anniversary limited edition Mizuno - Wave Rider 15's (and they are Canadian colors....lol)

 

Luke, the other runners will see you coming and get out of the way for sure!

 

Definitely don't use them for the race, coming from someone who runs daily for morning PT Those are some gorgeous shoes though, I would so buy them but I'm cheap and my Nike's are nicely broken in.
