    Menthol Monday:

Gatsby Ice Cooling Gel Facial Wash :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    #6 Horsehair
    Super Speed/new Shark
QCS Vostok SC :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Diana Sport Menthol Balsam :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Osage Rub AS :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:

Guys, unless you can tolerate extremely intense menthol my advice is to stay away from this setup. The Gatsby facial wash is EXTREMELY cold, and the cooling effect lingers even if you try to rinse it off with hot water. The Vostok cream has wonderful lather and its menthol power is comparable to Iced Subzero. The Diana Sport balsam is so far, the coldest one I ever used and I don't think the Rubby Dubby Doo needs to be described because it's so frigid! ;) :D

Very nice shave. I'll glue the knot for the banded boar this evening, it had a very nice feel to it during this mornings shave. I'll start alternating brushes daily, the purple blond and the black banded. Have a good one.

A three pass wtg/atg/xtg DFS with zero nicks and only mild irritation on my jaw line. The soap left my skin soft and smooth with a nice vanilla scent lingering, but paring it with my Omega 11137 brush was a poor choice and resulted in me having to reload my brush after the second pass. The PolSilver blade was at the end of its life and tugged a bit more than would normally be acceptable. A somewhat lackluster shave, but I think that I can improve upon the results tomorrow.

Chubby 2, Fatboy, Sunrise (3), Speick cream & aftershave

Another nice cold-water shave. The Speick aftershave is addictive: I keep having to restrain myself from re-applying it several times during the day. What I really want to do is bathe in the stuff, and that's probably going to start happening soon too. :ashamed001:

I also discovered today that "same-hand" shaving works better for me than "off-hand," meaning that using my right hand to shave the right side of my face is better than the alternative. I'm not sure why I've been doing things off-handedly, but I probably won't for too much longer. Now I'm off to the mall to resolve my watch debacle.

    Have a great week everyone!

Another good shave, but I am afraid that this brand of blade is not for me. I will see if I can find another brand to try. These blades seem to be pretty harsh. This E3 is a rescued razor. The original handle disintegrated, and I fashioned a new handle from wood. TOBS continues to astound me.
