First time using a RazoRock soap, graciously given to me by Robzilla. I found it needs a little less water than what I used; the lather was a tad on the thin side, but not so much so that it needed any boost from KMF unscented (my "duct tape" for poor lather). The scent is really nice, and the results were smooth and comfortable. Thanks again, Rob, for a great gift!

I can't stand the scent of this Egyptian Palmolive Menthol cream because it's so strong, but the lather and everything else about it are perfect. The menthol power is as brrrrrrr cold and beautiful as the Italian version and the skincare is very gentle and soothing. This was definitely a shave on an Egyptian note, because the Shark blade is also from Egypt and so is the Chabrawichi cologne which costs perhaps 1 dollar in Cairo. (pronounced SHA bra WEE shee)

 

Since I'm going on vacation Tuesday, I decided to start Cold Water shave week a bit early. It was actually a Cool Water Shave, since I used it straight from the tap, no artificial cooling methods for me

A very nice shave, a couple of weepers on my neck but they were my fault, I was going after a couple of problem spots a bit too aggressively. Menthol and Eucalyptus just seemed appropriate for a cold water shave.​

I was congratulating myself on trimming my sideburns without butchering them when I sliced off part of my soul patch. Oh well. Nice close shave anyway.

If it stops raining, I'll mow the lawn. Then I'll drink some beer. Such are my ambitions for today.

Great shave today! I love the extra burn with this bay rum. The creme is reall nice I should use it more often.

Yes, if poisonous there would be a problem. Over the years, she is one of several King Snakes and Black Snakes that are residents of the potting area and live in a large armadillo hole. Supposedly, they kill and prevent the poisonous ones along with other unwanted vermin, from mice to insects. Unfortunately, toads are also on their menu. It is just the startling wake-up call when you notice her scooting around your feet.

 

If I'm remembering correctly (note the keyword in that opening), king snakes won't even try to bite people unless thoroughly provoked. [/tangent]

 

I love snakes for exactly that reason. I am not particularly scared of snakes or spiders as long as they stay away from me. But if they are poisonous and anywhere near me, they will be in pieces.
