e. SOAP: Proraso Eucalyptus & Menthol cream; whipped up in a scuttle
f. SHAVE: 3 passes (WTG, XTG, ATG) plus touch-up
g. POST: Cold water rinse & dry; Osage Rub (cool sting!), Per De Provence balm

COOL, tingly menthol shave this morning, even WITH hot lather. DFS+

• Brush: Omega travel boar
• Soap: Daisy's mountain naturals, cold water (that's the name of the soap, no Cold Water Shave!)
• Razor: Rolls Razor
• Shave: 3-pass + touch-up
• Post: hot water rinse, cold water rinse

It is vacation! So I think I'll be Rolls Razor shaving these three weeks!. Oh goodie!
This was a really nice one. The music was just right. As was the lather.

I love this brush: great looks and excellent performance. Today, for a change, I did a face lather with it. Two passes and touch-ups resulted in a great shave.​

Yep...Certainly pray all will go well. Just had an appt. at the orthopedic surgeon myself today. Torn ACL...surgery potentially next week! Ughh...

 

Sorry, Bruce - My wife Norma suffered a spiral fracture of her left femur, just above the knee, six years ago. I hope your wife's surgery goes well.

I'm sorry she's hurt Bruce. I hope she heals quickly and is able to walk in no time. My dad broke his femur and knee in a car wreck 10 years ago. I will pray for her health and for your ability to stay relaxed during all this.

 

Not much has changed for me lately. Good news is that my unit fired all of its rounds today and we go back to the rear tomorrow. Thank God.

Prep: washed my face with TBS shave cream.
Razor: Gillette Slim.
Blade: Personna Lab.
Post: Cold water rinse, Thayer's Lavender WH, Barbon AS.

All of my shaves have been with cold water. They were close, but I didn't enjoy not having my brush or a lot of water. I had to throw away the blade today because it became so gunked up due to lack of water.

 

July 22, 2013 Monday evening shave:

Prep: Hot water rinse/baby oil rub
Brush: Restored Made Rite Finest Badger
Cream: TOBS Mr. Taylor
Razor: Weck & Sons Sexto Blade
Blade: Personna SE

Two pass shave WTG and ATG with touch ups.
Post: Rinse and Ice cube rub
Aftershave: Myrsol Blue

First attempt with a straight tonight. I was fine until I tried moving down the neck WTG. Pretty bad patch of weepers so, I stopped with the straight and finished the shave with my DE Merkur.

I don't know if I will bother going back to the straight again this year. Perhaps it's not for me. The DE finished the job with a Gillette Yellow blade after the bleeding stopped. Result is a limping DFS.

I'm so sorry to hear about your wife. I wish her a speedy recovery, and may God guide her back to good health.

 

Sounds like you are in the same boat as my Wife. I think the Doc doing her surgery is a sport medicine doctor. She will get pins in the bone just below the joint.
Hope your surgery goes well and mends fast as well. Take care and our thoughts are with you as well.
