Sk16_9.jpg 40-321-large.jpg AnherbConditi.jpg Barber_Aftershave_Osage-Rub_LRG.jpg For me the week starts off like this:

    Menthol Monday:

L'Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash :love055: :love055: :smiley freezing: :smiley freezing:
    Super Speed/new Shark
Lea Menthol SC :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Anherb AS Conditioner :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Osage Rub AS :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Dolce & Gabbana EDT

This is an excellent set-up for a Menthol Monday Shave because every item is a face-freezer. Even the L'Oreal facial wash is cold enough if you leave it on your face for a couple of minutes, and the Lea Menthol cream has one of the best menthol sensations I've ever experienced. I love the Anherb conditioner because of its moisturizing and freezing effects, and there's nothing like the good old Rubby Dubby Doo! ;) :D

Just another day, got called out both days on the weekend. This might be the ugliest blade I've ever seen on a razor but it shaves like a dream. Excellent shave this morning. Have a good one.

    Monday:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub, AoS Unscented PSO
    Brush: Beeline Boar
    Soap: Ginger's Garden Coffee Jasmine
    Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC
    Blade: Dorco-301 (3)
    Passes: WTG, XTG, ATG
Post: Cold water splash, alum, cold water rinse, Dickinson's WH, Aveeno Active Naturals ASB
Cologne: Shagya by Parfums de Marly

Using the maximum amount of pre- and post-shave care at my disposal on the Dorco-301's last day of testing this round, I wound up with a BBS, no noticeable irritation, but a few weepers around the Adam's Apple (still my biggest trouble spot). In all, I'm ready to put the 301 as my second favorite so far: almost as sharp as the Treet, but better longevity; almost as smooth as the Bic, while approximately as sharp. The 'courtesy' Merkur blade gets a go the next few days.

The Proraso was rather thin today. I don't think I shook my brush enough. Maybe there was too much water. The blade is still going strong. Smooth comfortable shave.

    PAL Adjustable
    Musgo Real SC
    GT G4 Scuttle
    Semogue 820 Boar
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Nivea Replenishing ASB
    Pinaud Lilac Vegetal

Coloring outside the lines this morning; found the PAL Adjustable at the bottom of the drawer and thought I'd give it a go. Many of the Brothers on this forum use the injectables a lot, some exclusively so, there is definately a strong following for this type of razor. I have four injector razors (part of my collection) but although the shaves are good to excellent (The Schick E-2 and J1 are excellent!) I just don't get the buzz with this type of razor. The PAL is a beautifully made, impressive, futuristic looking razor and the shave I get from it is very good; just not my thing. It's good to break one out every now and then and experience this type of razor design. What is it they say: "Different strokes for different folks". :D

Well...I PIF'd my only SS to my younger bro for his birthday, so the Merkur will have to do until I procure another SS!

PRE: Hot Towel + MR GLO Soap + Am Crew PSO
    BRUSH: 26mm super 2-band
CREAM: Ingram + 3 drops TSD MBomb
    RAZOR: Merkur 38c
    BLADE: Silver Blue (1)
POST: Alum + Proraso Green AS

    SS_130805.jpg

Well...The new brush gave up its first hair (just one) after about (4) uses...Really digging this brush! Had some serious issues lathering the Ingram this morn, not sure if it was me in a hurry trying not to put too much pressure on my bad leg or what, but terrible (thin). Overall a good result with a fine AS Splash though! Have a great day all!
