Recap of our BIG church event from last Saturday night— nearly 1,000 folks attended a free BBQ dinner & movie night—many on our campus for the very first time. Many times I heard,
"I didn't even know this church was here." Over 100 volunteers help pull off this wonderful event.
Jumpy houses in place, guests still arriving on a beautiful NorCal August late afternoon. DJ playing music. Three large screens in place to show "The Lion King" at sundown.
Hot times! Three blazing hot mesquite BBQs going, cooking 600 chicken thighs, 400 burger patties & 500 hot dogs! Cooked just the right amount with minimal leftovers!
A hundred kids played in the Jumpy houses and petting zoo until dinnertime. Once the sun went down & the movie started, the
'behind-the-scenes' clean-up began.
By midnight, everything was restored back in place, ready for 9:00am service the next morning.
Many on staff are worn out, but what a fun event!
