Was in a rush this morning, so I just whipped barbasol all over my face and head. Face and dome was bbs at least! Sharks work great in this as well, but now at the end of the day doesn't feel quite as close as Feathers left me. More blade investigation will be needed. Nice chilly feeling at least for when I headed off to do my Wednesday morning forced march.

My dear friend, how does the Aspis Cool Stream compare to the Ice Rain in menthol power? The Ice Rain is wonderful but I never tried the Cool Stream.

I got a new puck of Van Der Hagen Deluxe soap and melted it down in a little bowl. I haven't had any of the deluxe soap in a while. I really like it. The new ASCO blade performed well, and I ended up with a great shave.

The Solo Menthol is another cream which was apparently discontinued and I'm not happy about that because it smells so nice, lathers great, and gives excellent skincare. The menthol effect is weak but it's still noticeable. The Svoboda balsam is a must-have for me, and naturally - so is the Aqua Velva. Today's shave was wonderful. ;) :D

Excellent shave, theses little wedges are a joy for me to use. This will probably be the last time the Semogue will be in this configuration, it's going to get tweaked. Have a good one.

    Thursday-Menthol Week

    Prep: Hot Shower
Soap: Stirling Margaritas in the Arctic
    Razor: Maggard MR1
    Blade: SuperMax Titanium
    Brush: Omega 10066 Boar

Aftershave: Aqua Blue (Grocery Store Knock Off)

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)

This was the 4th shave with the SuperMax Titanium’s. They did another excellent job, nice and smooth so far. I was back with the Stirling MITA. Each time I use it, I like it better. It produces a nice thick, smooth lather. Close, nick, and burn free shave. I finished with grocery store Aqua Blue. I figured for $1.50, I should try some. It is not even on the same planet with Krampert’s Frostbite, Captain’s Choice Cat O’Nine Tails, or Floid Blue. Of course, that was no surprise either……

Petal Pushers unscented kokum butter soap
    Oscar11 brush with HIS knot
    Gillette fat-handled Tech
    Astra SP blade
    CeraVe lotion

I love this brush! Steve (oscar11) extracted the knot from one of my HIS brushes and transferred it to this beautiful handle. This brush made an excellent lather from the Petal Pushers soap. Three passes plus touch up gave a smooth, comfortable shave.

    Menthol Week continues...

    a. Pre: Hot shower,Hot 2-minute towel, Proraso 'Crema Pre Barba'
    b. Razor: Merkur 38c HD Barber Pole
    c. Blade: Feather Stainless (Day 6), hand-strop pre & post shave
    d. Brush: Semogue 830 Boar
    e. Soap: Tabac Soap & Proraso Menthol Cream & liquid Glycerinscuttle-warmed
    f. Shave: 3 passes and touch-up
    g. Post: Cold water rinse & dry; Osage Rub AS & Pre De Provence balm

Day 6 with the Feather blade is definitely the FINAL day for this blade! Prior to this, I made 12 consecutive days with the Merkur blade with no fall-off, but the Feather is fading fast!
Still able to get a decent MENTHOL-infused shave however!
