I got scammed a couple years back by a guy offering Russian made open comb razors. It looked like a copy of a Gillette NEW, but Russian. I really wanted it then and I still do. I'm not sure if such a razor actually exists or what terms to even search for. That's my unicorn.
I would need to look at completed auctions but it depends on condition, case, and how many people are bidding on them. For the Gillette I would say between $100 and $400 would be a guess with the Darwin being a bit north of there.
I tried to find some auctions that ended and the 2 that I found sold for over $150/pc, but then I read a post on B&B and someone bought one for $30 a while back. Freaky!
I just saw two banged up razors with no case or a broken one in that range. Here's one that was pushing $900.
Not a specific item, per se. Nothing out there right now that I just can't live without. However, since you asked... I would love to have my own separate 3/4 bath fixed up just right - think vintage and manly: plenty of shelf space to display all my stuff and room for more, killer sound system, space for a restored barber's chair... I'm sure I could come up with more!
I don't know if I can say that that bidder "won" it for that price. Wow! Imagine your razor and some $10,000 soap! WHAT!!
