    * Shower:
    • Soap: Irish Spring Original bar soap
    • Shampoo: Head & Shoulders shampoo with Old Spice scent

    * Shave:
    • Prep: Hot shower, Nivea Face Wash, Every Man Jaco Signature Mint Face Scrub, Hot towel, Corn Huskers Lotion
    • Brush: Tweezerman Badger
    • Lather: Art Of Shaving Lavender Cream
    • Razor: Merkur 23C
    • Blade: Derby Extra (3)
    • Passes: WTG/XTG/ATG/RXTG
    • Post: Warm water rinse, Cold water rinse, T.N. Dickinson's Witch Hazel pad, Nivea Post Shave Balm for Sensitive Skin, Pinaud Clubman Aftershave Lotion

Round 2 with the Tweezerman brush. It still shed lightly, but not nearly as bad as yesterday. I find this brush is very soft and mixes up creams very well. Still breaking it in it still has a bit of roughness to it which I'm hoping will go away after a while of use. Used the AOS Lavender cream again, one of my favorite creams I have. Still loving the scent. My 3rd and final use of this Derby blade, I am a big fan of Derby's. Got a nice, close DFS shave today.

A hot shower was definitely needed this morning, the arthritis was playing havoc.
RazoRock glycerin bar does a great job in prepping the face.
Today soap was a sample of Stirling Ben Franklin.
Today's brush was the senior member of my brushes, Omega 48
Razor choice was a Gillette Open Comb
    Blade Astra SP
Mystery sample aftershave and the last drops of Proraso balm
Three passes for a near perfect DFS

Palmolive Cool/Palmolive Menthol is so wonderful - it's one of my top-favorite creams. I also love the Classic cream and I see you also have the D'Amaris. I thought it's only available in Romania and Moldova. That cream was given to me by a friend of mine and I enjoy it a lot. Unfortunately the tube is too small - only 60 grams.

I got a little carried away today in my neck attempting the Gillette slide and cut myself just a little. I probably haven't cut myself in a year or so, so I was surprised. Otherwise, it was a fine shave. Four drops of glycerin with the Proraso made tons of lather that was slick and comfortable.

Busted out my Dovo best quality. First/only "new" razor I bought a year ago. Thanks to Lynn's excellent honing, still giving me a smooth shave!!

    Tonight's shave.

Prep: hot shower, TBS Maca Root Face Wash, Alba Botanica Scrub.
    Brush: Vulfix Burlington.
Razor: Weber Polished Bulldog (first use.)
    Blade: Personna Lab.
    Soap: Mike's Barbershop stick.
Post: cold water rinse, Thayer's Lavender WH, Clubman Pinaud.

Guys, tonight's shave was pretty decent. I had a good first experience with my Weber razor. To me, its aggressiveness is about middle of the road. It's only my first shave, so I still have to figure out the angle and other technical things about this razor. But overall, I like how balanced it feels, how it sits in the hand, the weight, and quality. I love Mike's. I was so happy to use my Barbershop stick after it had been "lost" for so long. I will make sure it never gets lost again. Its slickness, glide, cushion, scent, skincare are all magnificent. It's also pretty cheap too ($8.00 for the Barbershop stick.) I know I will always have a good shave when I use Mike's. I have a ton of Myrsol samples that I wanted to use very badly. But I went by my own rule of only trying one new item out at once. To me, I find it easier to use only one new item at a time so if it doesn't work out, I can eliminate it right away instead of being at a crossroads. The Clubman set me up pretty nicely. It didn't sting, but I felt a slight tingle and then refreshing and smooth.

    • Prep: shower, L'Oréal Men Expert face wash
    • Razor: Gillette Super Adjustable
    • Blade: Personna Platinum (1)
    • Brush: The BiG Shave LE #90/100 by Semogue
    • Scuttle: "Estremoz" V2 Green
    • Soap: Figaro
    • Post: alum, T.N. Dickinson's Witch hazel
    • Aftershave: Old Spice Champion, unrefined shea butter
Not sure if it's the soap or the blade, but my face feels raw and in pain. I'll try the blade in the DLC for my next shave to be sure. I hope it's not the soap as it's very slick and makes a great lather.

Smoother than smooth can be, smelling awesome, and feeling great after such a sensational shave. The European Gillette Menthol cream should have never been discontinued because it's so good. The Vifrex gel is a must-have for any menthol freaks like myself because it leaves the skin so frozen and feeling terrific. How can I forget the Ice Blue - it's wonderful. ;) :D

Prep: BC PSO (Peppermint-Tea Tree-Lavender)-Hot Shower
    Soap: RazorRock Fresco
    Razor: ‘54 Gillette Super Speed
Blade: Gillette 7 O’Clock Blue SP
    Brush: Omega 10066 Boar

    Aftershave: Krampert’s Bay Rum

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)

The Super Speed with the 7 O’Clock Blues is still getting it done on day four. I used RazorRock Fresco this morning. I used my large blue Old Spice mug to lather it in instead of on the tub. I had a close, smooth shave with one small nick on the lower neck. I finished with Krampert’s Bay Rum. Come on world….

Usually if I go thirty hours without a shave have about as much stubble that I have seen many guys take a week to grow. Shockingly enough this morning I had so little stubble from my last shave that I ended up only needing one full pass with some minor touch-ups around the jawline and a few spots on my neck.

I have never used a razor that shaves this closely and effortlessly. It is almost like it is shaving off the stubble below the skin line, just freakishly weird in how efficient that it is.

The blade alignment post in the top cap still bother me, although I am trying to use logic on why it was done this way. The only conclusion that I can reach is due to the high amount of torque that this head has compared to other slants, it had to to be done this way. Again, this is just a guess, and I am hoping that is the case. I reloaded the blade today and was able to get loaded properly with the first attempt, which in reality is all that I care about.

With all of the talking about the razor I need to give a shout out to the Shave Den aftershave. I just love the performance and scent of it, my skin feels amazing after applying it. Although there are other scents that I like a lot, I have yet to use an aftershave like this before.

Enjoy your Thursday everyone and I hope that each and every one of you have a great day.
