I don't know if this brush and the brush above my post is the same...but they do resemble eachother. For me, I LOVE wood grain - any and all. I'd pick a wood grain finish over bakelite, metal(ic), glass, etc any day of the week. Obviously, just my aesthetic preference.

I have to change mine again. The one thing that always catches my eye, is a pure boar brush, broken in. No fake badger dyes, just pure cream colored hairs. To my eyes they look better than even the best badger brush.

Looks like you are past due to go on in and get your eyes checked again. ;) I hear that LASIK surgery is getting cheaper every year. :D

Another vote for the Semogue 1305. I love both the handle shape and the colors.

Spalted maple has dark streaks in it. The streaks are caused by mold that has discolored it. Kind of ironic that it enhances the appearance. When working with it, a person should wear a mask, but once sealed, it is safe to use.

Pretty brush, but no where near $550 worth of pretty.

Agreed. That's why it's just nice to look at. Although, I wonder how luxurious a $550 brush would feel? Anybody?
