    Wednesday:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub, Crown Supreme Glide Pre-shave Lotion
    Brush: Beeline Boar
Soap: Ginger's Garden Coffee Jasmine Glycerin
    Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC
    Blade: Bic Hi-Chrome Platinum (1)
    Passes: WTG, XTG, ATG
Post: Cold water splash, Alum, cold water rinse, Dickinson's WH, Aveeno Active Naturals ASB
Cologne: Jasmine et Cigarette by ELdO

This was probably as close a shave as I've ever had. Really BBS all around, with my skin generally feeling great. A lapse in technique had me inexplicably J-hooking on my throat during the XTG pass, though, resulting in a couple of small nicks and necessitating the alum.

Good shave today 3 weeks after switching from the darkside (cartridge)

    Hot shower
Tried walmart shave secret oil for a preoil. I like it alot.
SC CREMO CREAM (I watered it down to much) but I like it no scent is downside
    RAZOR EJ DE89lbl
    BLADE CRYSTAL (1)
    WTG/XTG/ATG
    AS CLUBMAN PINAUD

No irritation no redness this is a huge thing for me I have dealt with it for 25 years I have shaved with a cartridge razor since 15 but didnt have enough hair to be a problem till I was 18.

I ordered a new brush. Im getting tired of the AOS small trial one. I has lasted longer than I thought it would almost no hair loss so I will keep it for travel.

Good shave this morning. I'm not a big fan of Castle Forbes, it's a good cream but I have others I much prefer. Have a good one.

    Way to go!

    Wednesday

    Prep: Hot Shower
    Soap: Stirling Scots Pine
    Razor: ’66 Gillette Slim “5”
    Blade: Viking Sword (3)
    Brush: Omega 6192 Badger
    Aftershave: Aqua Velva Musk
WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)

3rd shave with the Viking Sword blade and I was back with the Stirling Scots Pine. Another great shave: close, smooth, nick & burn free. I finished with Aqua Velva Musk for a change of pace.

As much as I love traditional wet shaving I will admit that keeping a photographic diary provides me with the same amount of pleasure. I have an ancient equipment, my photographic skills are limited, but I find it very relaxing in evening to take and edit my pictures.

The last week has been exhausting, so I wanted an easy shave, I’m exhausted. This is about as easy as it gets. I could not tell you how close of a shave I have, but I am more than presentable.

    Try to enjoy your Wednesday.

Honestly, one of the best shaves in a while...Not that they have been bad, but today was great!!! MdC is simply amazing. I have never had a lather literally explode off of the puck. The knot in this brush isn't exactly what I would call a "soap killer" either. Needless to say...I was impressed and I had very high expectations already. The soap has a pretty strong scent with a mild cooling sensation on the skin and an incredible after shave feel. Simply decadent!!! Have a blessed day all!

    Razor: Merkur Futur
    Blade: Merkur Super (Day 2)
    Brush: Semogue SOC Boar
    Lather: Tabac Soap
Shave: Three passes + touch up
Post: Cold water rinse; Alum block & Pre De Provence Balm

Another day getting the 'feel' for this Futur, and another great shave. The learning curve is not steep at all as this razor is rather forgiving. Once one gets accustomed to the rather large head, the results are outstanding.
Breaking in a new Semogue boar as well—very stiff, but the payoff comes when all those nasty tips soften up with use. BBS shave. :happy088:

5/8 Imperial Razor, Full Hollow, Spike Point
    Proraso PSC
    Palmolive Classic SC
    GT G4 Scuttle
    Semogue 820 Boar
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Nivea Replenishing ASB
    Brut Original Cologne

Kind of a low budget working man's shave this morning. The little Imperial is a very light razor that gives a very noticable feedback while doing it's work. It is the kind of razor that an average working man would have used back in the day. Nothing fancy, just a tool to shave the face. This it does with workman like performance. The SC and Brut Cologne are easily available items and low budget but, are very good performers in their respective roles. Remember why we started wet shaving was to save money by not buying all those expensive cartridges; since then most of us have been afflicted with various forms of AD's so it's good to remember every now and then that shaving doesn't have to be a budget busting exercise. :D

A fantastic close BBS shave with one and a half passes, smooth as silk, love that MWF! It's been awhile since I had a BBS! Feels great in the fall air.

How do you make a half pass???
Only one side of the face, line down the middle?
Face in imaginary quarters, shave top left and bottom right?
    Just wondering.

I guess technically the half-pass is a touch-up :) I should call it the touch-up. After the first pass, I clean up the chin, both jawlines, and neck if needed. Today I went over the upper lip again, so it was almost a pass :)
