    Razor: EJ DE89L
    Blade: Polsilver SI (2)
    Soap: VDH Deluxe
    Brush: VDH Boar
Post: Witch Hazel followed by Nivea ASB

I am loving the Polsilver SI blades. I am getting a DFS+ shave every day. I have some Feathers on the way that a fellow member has PIF'd to me. I can't wait to give them a try.

Everything was perfection, Tabac exploded under the 2000, the blade was smooth, and the razor merciful. One of the best shaves I had lately :bounce015:

Williams Mug soap face-lathered well today with the Semogue 1305 brush. The creamy lather prepared my face for a near BBS shave with the Merkur 37c. The Merkur Super Platinum blade is doing a good job so far. Finished off with Dickinson's WH and some Aqua Velva Ice Blue. Feeling mighty fine.

Thanks! I was a little worried what was under that layer of crud in those e-bay photos. They cleaned up pretty good though and are in very nice condition. :)

I broke out my new straight (new to me) that I bought from Larry at Whipped Dog.

Prep: hot shower, TBS Maca Root Face Wash, TBS Maca Root Face Scrub.
    Brush: Vulfix Burlington.
Razor: Wester Bros 4/8" (first time use.)
    Soap: Mike's Barbershop stick.
Post: cold water rinse, stypic pencil, Captain's Choice Lime.

I had a pretty good shave today, I got a DFS shave in one pass plus a touch up in a couple areas. I was able to shave my whole face with my straight with no problem. It has a great feel to it. It was made in Solingen, Germany; the steel capitol of Europe. It was probably made in the last century and still looks great. I had one tiny nick on my neck, right below my ear. I touched my stypic pencil to it and it sealed right up. I am glad I have a Mike's Barbershop stick. It's my favorite soap. I know I can always get a good shave whenever I use this. It doesn't matter what razor I use. What better way to finish up the shave with some C.C. Lime? This stuff is great. It burned really bad for about a half a second, then afterwards brought on the nice soothing feel I'm accustomed to.

    Proraso Green Crema pre Barba

My Krampert's Finest Frostbite arrived yesterday, so I could not resist a menthol day. Result: BBS! The lather was great, as always, and the razor smoothly cut its swath. The Frostbite lived up to its name, giving me a few eye watering moments, with a comfy finish and a smooth face. I feel well cared for.

It's a good thing that I have two back-ups because this Godrej Menthol Mist tube is almost finished, and I sure wouldn't want to be without it. It's such a great face-freezing cream. The Svoboda balm and the Penguin helped to make this terrific shave feel wonderful. Once again, no blades seem to work as well for me as the Rapiras. ;) :D

    Tuesday

Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Ozark Mountain Soap
    Soap: Stirling Scots Pine Sheep
    Razor: ’66 Gillette Slim “6”
    Blade: Personna Lab (1)
    Brush: Omega 10066 Boar

    Aftershave: Pinaud Clubman

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)

1st shave ever with the Personna Lab. I went with Stirling Scots Pine today. I was disappointed in my first try with a Lab. I got significant tugging, so much so that I tried another Lab…same. I hope it smooths out for shave #2 tomorrow. I sure wasn’t expecting this! I finished with Pinaud Clubman. I really like the “Old Guy, Real Man, Barbershop Scent”. I need to keep some around.

    Tuesday:

Prep: Hot compress, Crown Co. Supreme Glide Pre-shave Lotion
    Brush: VDH Boar
Soap: Ginger's Garden Oak Moss Glycerin-in-a-jar
    Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC
    Blade: Dorco-301 (3)
    Passes: WTG, XTG
Post: Cold water splash, Dickinson's WH, Aveeno Active Naturals ASB
Cologne: Burberry Brit for Men by Burberry

That was fantastic. I soaked the brush, soap and lather itself with more water than I'd ever considered before, and FINALLY got stable, yogurt-like lather as a reward. Three days in, the 301 is still going strong. No nicks, weepers, or irritation, and my face feels really good, with a DFS result from just two relaxing passes.

    • Soap: Cucumber scented glycerin soap
    • Brush: Vie Long Horse Hair
    • Post: Witch Hazel followed by Cetaphil lotion

I tried an experiment today and used a cucumber scented glycerin soap that I found at Dollar General. I wanted to see how this soap compared to using a glycerin based shaving soap. It actually did fairly well. It produced a nice, rich lather that was pretty slick. It was lacking cushion, though. I got a DFS, but not without a little irritation. Overall, a nice shave, but I won't be using this soap as a shaving soap again.
