Today it's "Son of Morley", well....another Morley only a smaller size than the 11/16 I used yesterday. I finally used up the last small bit of SC in the Speick tube so, I got to break out a brand new tube this morning. The Royal Copenhagen seems to go very well with the scent of the Speick. A great shave all around. :happy005:

    CeraVe facial cleanser
    TSD unscented soap, extra glycerin
Oscar11 custom brush with HIS knot
    EJ DE89
    Super Iridium blade
    Alum block
    CeraVe lotion

I enjoy how this brush builds up a good lather off the TSD soap. Some extra glycerin makes a creamy lather. Three passes, nice smooth results.

    Prep: FitjarSoap Pre Shave Soap
    Razor: Merkur HD
    Blade: Sputnik (3)
    Brush: Lijun Shaving Finest Badger
Soap: Mike’s Natural Soap – Pine and Cedarwood
    Aftershave: Captains Choice Lime
    Moisturiser: Fitjarsoap Shea Butter Moisturiser.

As always, very fine lather from Mike’s soaps. But as always, a bit more work needed to get there. Maybe it would be easier with another brush.
I can never decide what I think about this brush, a 24 mm finest badger from Lijun Shaving.
It isvery soft on the tips, but also a very hard brush, due to too much glue used on the base
But it did manage to whip up an obscene amount of lather, so I guess it works as intended

Third shave with the Sputnik blade, and it still performed amicably.

This is a blade that will have a permanent place in my rotation, so it is time to visit my favourite bay once more

Your experience with the Lijun brush mirrors mine: very soft tips on the face, firm/stiff enough to whip great amounts of lather. I've only used it once, but this was my positive experience with the brush.

I noticed that there are a lot of those Lijun Brushes being used on the forum lately Norse and, I have decided to join the LS Badger team. I ordered one just like yours only with the Faux Horn Handle. I'm looking for soft tips and some good backbone to get a badger with similar performance characteristics to the boars I normally use. With the review feedbacks I have been seeing, this brush should fill the bill. I enjoy seeing your posts BTW, they are very informative. :happy088:

I love the way the Col. Conk Lime lathered with the Frank Shaving badger brush. This was the eighth shave with the Merkur, and I have fallen in love with it. Two passes and touch-ups gave me another great near BBS shave. Finished off with the Dickinson's WH and Aqua Velva AS. Very nice indeed.

Very nice shave this morning. The maiden voyage for the 2 band flat top. If you can get by the looks of the flat top it's an excellent performing brush. I really like this type of badger hair, very nice feel. I might end up dropping the loft a few mm but I'll leave it as is for awhile. Have a good one.

Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Ozark Mountain Soap
    Soap: Coate’s Sandalwood Cream
    Razor: ’66 Gillette Slim “6”
    Blade: Gillette 7 O’Clock Yellow SE (1)
    Brush: Omega 6192 Pure Badger
    Aftershave: Clubman
    Post: Nivea Post Shave Balm
WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)

1ST shave this round with the Gillette 7 O’Clock Yellow SE. I used the Coate’s Sandalwood Cream this morning. They both did a great job: smooth, close, nick free. I finished with Clubman AS and Nivea Post Shave Balm. The “Yellow” is off to a good start. This was the first blade I used when I switched to a DE.

    Brush: Beeline Boar
    Soap: Ginger's Garden Oakmoss Glycerin-in-a-jar
    Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC
    Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (3)
    Passes: WTG, XTG
Post: Cold water splash, Dickinson's WH, Pinaud Clubman

Lather was a little better today, if not great. I opted to keep it to two passes mostly in the interest of giving my throat a little break after the weepers yesterday. DFS results, better than yesterday's, for whatever reason. I think I got a better gauge on the right amount of the Clubman, with a little bit of use.

Hot shower, body/face washed with Neutral bar soap. Face scrubbed with hot cloth before the shave.
    Mühle R89 coupled with Viking's Sword (3).
Haslinger Ringelblumen (marigold) soap, whipped with Semogue 1520 boar in Steve Woodhead shallow mug.
Above jawline WTG/XTG/ATG, below jawline WTG/WTG/WTG.
Ajanta alum applied for 1 minute, then rinsed off with cold water. Finished off with Nivea for Men Face Cream.

Pretty nice shave. One side of me wants the closeness of ATG, but another side does not want to bother with a possible irritation. So WTG it is below my jawline. It goes really well without using my after shave balm. The face cream works perfect and I _really_ like that it's perfume-free. For the love of God I can't get into my head why it must be so difficult to find products that are without scent/perfume.... So this one's a keeper :)

    Have a great Saturday, y'all!

A quick but very smooth and nice shave this morning. One of the advantages with my 1950s Super Speed is that if necessary, I can shave fast and still get a good job done without cutting myself. The Palmolive Classic cream smells so nice, and the lather it gives is a million times better than the discontinued US version with perfect skincare. The Svoboda balm is a godsend for sensitive skin. ;) :D

I saw Burt's Bees in Walgreens earlier this week and figured since bees live in the woods I'd give it a try for Walk in the Woods week. I made the mistake of assuming I could lather it not realizing it's only meant to be applied directly to your face. Needless to say I made a big mess but eventually got a decent shave. If anybody likes this stuff send me a note with your address and I'll send it to you free of charge otherwise I'll let the wife try it before it hits the dumpster. It does the job but with the consistency of lotion it clogs your razor.
