    Wednesday.

Face washed with Nivea for Men Sensitive face wash.
Mühle R89 coupled with Gillette Platinum Blue (1).
Arko soap whipped with Semogue 1520 boar in Steve Woodhead mug.
3 passes (WTG/XTG/XTG) followed by luke rinse, Ajanta alum applied for 1 minute, then rinsed off with cold water.
Finished off with Nivea for Men Sensitive after shave balm.

My first time with the Gillette blade. I kinda like it, it doesn't stand out, but it doesn't disappoint either. I could use it, should I daily, but given availability and price I wont. Having used the Arko (again) my wife wont come near me for the next few hours, so it's time for some telly all alone - Yay! :D

    DFS+! :)

    Cetaphil Face Bar
    D'men Sensitive
    EJ Best Medium
    Dovo Natural
    Witch Hazel
    Afta Fresh
    Captain's Choice Bay Rum

D'men shaving cream is one of the most underrated creams out there. The lather is superb in every way, it's too bad that all of the vendors don't carry this stuff.:happy036:

    Proraso Pre Shave Cream
Williams SS in Old Spice Hull Pottery Mug
    Georgetown G4 Scuttle
    Rubberset 200-4 Barbershop Boar
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Nivea Replenishing After Shave Balm
Old Spice Classic After Shave Lotion

Some of the old classics this morning. The Kinfolks Blue Steel Special is one of those great Little Valley NY American steel razors. Excellent quality blade with outstanding performance. The old reliable Williams mug SS and the Rubberset Boar Brush are relics of the by gone Barbershop days that brings back fond memories of sitting in the local Barbershop with the men of the town telling stories and getting the latest gossip. Those were simplier days of my youth but they are lasting memories that will never fade. Enjoy your shaves Gentlemen they are quality times in your life. :)

Yeah, you're right, there isn't point in shaving, if it isn't enjoyable :)

I am back to the MMBT today. I am really liking this razor. In fact, for me, I am declaring it the best of the Micromatic line. Anyhow, the Semogue did a wonderful job face-lathering the Col. Conk Lime SS. Two passes and touch-ups on the neck with the MMBT made for a near BBS shave. I finished off with Thayers Cucumber WH and the Pinaud Clubman AS. Another great shave, and I am feeling clean and refreshed.

Thanks , Bruce! It is one of my better Flea Market finds. The maker mark says Royal London but is made in Taiwan. It works pretty well at keeping the brush warm, which is great now because it is freezing here.

I have a Lord Nelson scuttle the same shape (It's a solid green color) but, I really like yours with the Canadian Geese. I have a pond right next to my house that has some Canadian geese that use it to raise their brood. Your design is very masculine and sporty. Scuttles are great for the cold winter mornings. Great find Jacob! :happy088:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub, Crown Shaving Co. Supreme Glide Preshave Lotion
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
    Cream: Speick
    Razor: FaTip Piccolo Nickel
    Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (2)
    Passes: WTG, XTG, ATG (3,4,5)
Post: Cold water splash, Dickinson's WH, Speick AS Lotion
Cologne: Gigember Estragone by Dr. Vranjes

Switching to the Bic confirmed at least one of these two things: the Bic is sharper than the Voskhod, and/or the FaTip is more aggressive than the 41c. Personally, I'm leaning toward both being true. Three passes produced a BBS result, along with a couple of weepers at the corners of my mouth; I got no weepers on my Adam's Apple thanks in no small part to our resident BaconLord's description of the 'swallow and hold' technique when shaving there (Thanks, Kevin! :happy088:). The SO and the rest of the family are overnighting with extended family, largely due to an allergy my sister has to my cat, so I may not be shaving or posting tomorrow. I hope all of you in The United Stated of America have a joyous Thanksgiving and plenty of food and family.
