    Prep: hot shower
    Razor: Weishi 9306
    Blade: Astra SP (day 5)
    Brush: Wilkinson Sword
    Soap: Proraso white
    Passes: 2 (WTG x2, XTG)
    Post: cold water, Proraso blue

I don't know why I was expecting this tub to be filled with a cream, but I did. I started off hand lathering, and did a not bad job but the lather was too wet. I cleaned up the excess lather on the brush and just built the lather right in the tub. I'm not sold on the sent yet, but the Proraso white worked very well. I was not expecting there to be any menthol in this soap, so the tingling feeling on my cheeks was a surprise. Unfortunately the menthol feeling did not last very long.

Five days with the Astra, and still no tugging or irritation that wasn't caused by bad prep. This blade seems to be a keep![IMG]

I get the same thing sometimes especially on my neck under my chin where my beard grows sideways. It's like the whiskers are little turtles poking their heads out after the razor goes by.

Not sure I've got this pick a country thing down yet, but France, Italy and the US are represented in this morning's shave - an unlikely trio! Oh and China and Japan I guess if you count the blade and badger hair ;)... Have a great day all!

    Bakelite slant
    Feather
    Vie-Long Boar/Horse
    Tabac
    Proraso white

Had to stop twice yesterday for animals crossing the road - a cow moose on one road, a young buck on another road. Came home to four whitetails camped in my yard. I think they are realizing that we can't shoot them in the city.
    Anyway, great shave.

    Friday:

Prep: Healthy Accents Daily Renewal Cleanser, Hot Shower, Crown Shaving Co. Preshave lotion
    Brush: Beeline Boar
    Cream: Speick (German made)
Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 Open Comb (German made)
Blade: Bolzano Superinox (German made), day 1
    Passes: WTG, XTG (1,2)
Post: Cold water splash, Dickinson's WH, Speick AS splash
Cologne: The Third Man by Caron

With a new blade loaded, today's shave went much better. The Beeline got the Speick lathering copiously in no time, and there was absolutely no tugging or irritation from the new blade. I only stopped at 2 passes due to a time constraint, content with a DFS.

    FRIDAY
Prep: Hot shower, Shea Moisture Face Scrub, Citrus PSO
    Razor: Mühle R41 Grande (2011)
    Blade: Personna Lab (Day 1)
    Brush: Omega 626
Lather: Shea Moisuture Shave Butter Créme
Shave: Two passes, plus touch up
Post: Rinse, Alum block, Black River Bay rum & Shea butter cream

An absolutely fantastic shaving experience this morn. Smooth, ultra-close & comfortable. This Mühle certainly will remain my favorite in the DE rotation if I keep getting results like this morning.
Two passes, with slight spot touch-up left me with a REAL BBS face. I may not have to shave tomorrow. ;)
    Have a blessed Friday!

    Friday- ¡Bravo! España

Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Spice Bath Soap
    Soap: La Toja Stick-Spain
    Razor: RazoRock Jaws OC
    Blade: Personna Med Prep (3)
    Brush: Whipped Dog Silvertip
    Aftershave: LEA After-Save Balsalm-Spain

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)

I headed to Spain this morning with my La Toja Stick and LEA After-Shave Balsalm. The La Toja Stick always does a great job, but it lathered even easier with my new WD Silvertip! The Jaws OC and Med Prep are going strong on day 3. The Jaws OC gives an easy, close shave. The LEA After-Shave Balsalm contains Aloe Vera and Vitamin E. I prefer it over the Nivea Original ASB. The LEA does a good job of conditioning, has a pleasant fresh scent, and left my face feeling great.

I spent a good part my Honeymoon in Madrid and Toledo before heading to Portugal. I loved both cities and the people.

    Good evening

I've had a few busy weeks, with very little time for shaving. I have hit the books and been busy studying for microsoft certification exams. So therefore I have just done a quick two pass shave every four days or so.
But tonight I felt I needed a break so I indulged myself in a very slow and thorough three pass shave, using some of my favourite items:

    Prep: FitjarSoap Pre Shave Soap
    Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89
    Blade: Feather
    Brush: Frank Shaving Finest Badger
    Soap: Camelot Shave stick
Aftershave: Japanese unscented aftershave that I for the life of me can not remember the name of at the moment
    Moisturiser: Fitjarsoap Shea Butter Moisturiser

The Feather is not my absolute favourite, but loaded in the the EJ De89 it is still a killer combo when I have a few days worth of shrubbery on my face.
The Camelot soap is very very nice. And using the Frank Shaving brush it whips up a great lather with perfect protection and glide. I have no favourite aftershave, but the unscented splash from Japan is still very nice. It cools and soothes and leave my face feeling great. What more can a man ask for.

I had a great refreshing shave, and is no ready to put in a few more hours of reading before retiring for the evening. Not exactly a party, but since we are in the middle of a winter storm I wouldn't want to go to one anyway.

    Have a good weekend everybody

I also enjoy the Proraso White soap a lot. It contains a fair amount of menthol so it gives a pretty decent cooling effect, but the emphasis is more on oatmeal and green tea which are apparently very soothing for sensitive skin. It has a very nice scent to me, anyway. :)
