Hi and welcome to The Shave Den! How true that one can shave for decades and still not have things all that figured out. For me it was 30 years before discovering traditional wetshaving five years ago, still a long time. Of course, that is to be expected. A lot of guys just picked up a razor in their teens and started shaving as best they could, with guesswork, trial-and-error and TV commercials standing in for instruction. Now that places like The Shave Den are around, people can find a wealth of good information and put it into practice. In addition to this forum, Mantic59's videos on YouTube and Leisureguy's Guide to Gourmet Shaving on Amazon are useful resources. The three complement one another very nicely. My father has a Rolls Razor, and says it gave him very smooth shaves. I hope you get many smooth shaves with yours!
Another welcome from the Old Dominion. I'm about 100 miles down I-81 from you, depending on what part of the Shenandoah Valley you call home.
Thanks Queen of Blades. Looking forward to making it down to the store where TSD stuff is sold...my wife is from Lynchburg, so we make it to the area multiple tunes through the year.
Very cool! Let us know when you're in the area. I, and Sontag, might be able to meet up with you. Not that I can speak for him but he and I meet up quite often.
