Since starting I've been using erasmic and Palmolive creams, then monday I got a tub of tobs which has been great all week. So today I have bought a tub of maca root cream which I'm also looking forward to trying.
I found a 1/2 TSP measure of tobs to be a bit much and would be enough for 7 odd passes. Does the maca root lather up like tobs?

    Better in my opinion.

A little maca goes a long way. A toothpaste sized gob, or smaller will do you just fine.

Just finished and noticed with the huge pile of lather, I can easily half the amount of cream used. Had a very nice shave and glad I bought it.
I also noticed it takes a fair amount of water. Face feels very nice and smooth and I'll definitely be trying there other products.

I really like the maca line with the exception of the maca deodorant. That one just didn't work for me.

Maca root cream is one of my favorites. I buy it in the tub and just dab the end of my brush in and have plenty of lather for both face and dome:happy088:

I ordered a tub today, I hope it's as good as TOBS. I've read that it smells like laundry detergent, does this sound correct?

It's much better than TOBS, imho. I don't mind the scent. It's a little earthy to me, but not off putting.

Never tried TOBS, but I'm with Rich about the scent - I like it.

Maca Root? Nothing like laundry soap to me. Earthy and some citrusy floral notes but nothing like Tide or Gain LOL.

Maca root itself (the powdered supplement) smells almost yeasty to me.

I've used the Maca Root shave cream from the Body Shop. Nice slick lather I would probably consider it similar to TOBS IMHO

That's because of the secret they hide from us all! It's made by Creightons as well. The same place that makes TOBS, T&H and Trumpers. ;)

I actually love this stuff and find my self choosing it over the tobs more often. The maca root asb is brilliant too.
