Picked up an Old Spice shaving mug from the antique mall. Far as I can tell, it is from the 1944-early 1950's era. Sorry, no pic as it is wrapped and under the tree already. Isn't it nice when you can tell your wife she got you a shaving mug?
I have had two very nice arrivals this month. One was the secret Santa gift that arrived yesterday. Another very nice treat that landed in my mailbox was a Christmas Card from a TSD member. I've never been very good at sending Christmas cards myself, so it was a very pleasant surprise to get one. So thank you very much and Merry Christmas to you all
Couple three things in the mail today. Finally bought some injector blades after owning a couple vintage Schicks for too long so now we can take them for a spin (or take them for a shave I guess I should say). Some more Gillette blades I haven't tried, the Nacet and the "Black Ninja" as they're called. And finally a sample bottle of Florida water (that I keep hearing about and curiosity got the best of me) and some Alpa Windsor aftershave.
I stopped by an antique store in Knoxville, TN this week and found a 1982 Black Beauty Super Adjustable (long handle, C-1 date code) as well as an old (almost full) bottle of Old Spice cologne. I have a few Black Beauties, but this is my first with the plastic base plate; the knurling is different as well. The Old Spice is my first bottle of the original stuff, and I like it better than the new formula.
I just got my Ticket for the Concert in Berlin,26.06.2014 from PEARL JAM I´m so happy,you can´t imagine...it´s my 2nd concert from Pearl Jam. WhooooooHooooooo!!!!!!!!

Thank your Sir. If PJ plays a concert near you, get yourself a ticket. They are wonderful on CD, but live,they are out of this World. I get Goosebumps all over when i hear Eddies fantastic voice. And i can tell you,the atmosphere at a concert of PJ is...outstanding,awesome,wonderful. One of the best Bands on our Planet. And i'm thankful to have the chance to see them live. Greetings Thorsten

Found this at a local antique store, first visit. The razor and strop came from the barbershop the owners father used to own. He even gave me a picture of it the razor says The Hamburg Ring, and under it says TRY ME. B&S trademark.
Someone gifted me a Shavemac Silvertip Travel Brush. I had been using a Wee Scott for travel. However, The Wee Scott found it's way into my regular rotation.
December is finishing with a bang. I had ordered 2 pucks of Stirling Margaritas in the Arctic for the current PIF and of course had to add a few items for me!
I picked these up at a local antique shop this weekend. They didn't clean up as well as I'd hoped they would. There's more scratches, pitting, etc., than I noticed at first. Maybe after Christmas I'll have time to invest a little more "elbow grease." There's a 1971 Gillette Starburst TTO, a Gem "1912", a Gem Micromatic, and a Gem Push Button (I think I have that name right). This is a "before" shot of the Gillette. It didn't look that much better after a general cleaning.
Found this guy at the antique store today. What caught my eye was the handle. I really like the way it fits my hand. Cleaned up pretty nice. Not bad for $3.00, and it's my first Star brand razor.
