    Prep: hot shower
    Razor: WW2 Gillette Khaki
    Blade: Feather (day 2)
    Brush: Wilkinson Sword
    Soap: Proraso white tub
    Passes: 3 (WTG x2, XTG)
    Post: cold water, Proraso blue

Great shave today. I had a nice lather which combined with the feather blade provided an unbelievably slick shave.

    Thor's Day:

Prep: Hot shower, Crown Shaving Co. Supreme Glide Preshave lotion
    Brush: Beeline Boar
Soap: Ginger's Garden Coffee Jasmine Glycerin
    Razor: FaTip Piccolo Nickel
    Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (2)
    Passes: WTG, XTG, ATG (2, 3, 4)
Post: Cold water splash, Dickinson's WH, Aqua Velva Ice Blue splash

More than a month after acquisition, and I feel like I'm finally starting to get a handle on the proper technique and angle for the FaTip. Three passes without irritation, a BBS result, and my only minor weepers are in the mustache area, where it's tricky for me due to skin-stretching being more of a challenge. I may have overdone it a skosh on the AV, but since I'm snowed in today, it's unlikely to cause anyone any reason to complain.

Shave: Two pass , plus DE touch-p

Back to work & back to a straight razor shave this morn. MdC lather was a joy using it for the first time with a SR. Excellent glide!
Th Semo Boar is simply a great brush for face-lathering. Cooling finish with the 444. A darn near BBS with a little Futur touch-up.
    Have a great Thursday, everyone!

Congrats on the BBS results! For some reason, I was more prone to getting weepers with the FaTip than pretty much any razor I've owned (wit the exception of my old Aristocrat). I suppose the FaTip is just one of those open-comb razors that is truly dependent on the proper angle and touch for a perfect shave, with little margin for error.

Thanks. For myself, I find I have to start with the head of the FaTip essentially perpendicular to the floor and slowly rotate until I can just barely notice the blade against my skin; this means I have to have the razor much flatter to my face than is true with my Merkur, which works with the head closer to parallel to the floor.

    Today's shave.

Prep: hot shower, L'Oréal Face Wash, TBS Maca Root Scrub, Sasquatch Golden Moss bath soap.
    Brush : Turkish #6 Brush.
    Razor : Gillette Rocket.
    Blade : Viking Sword.
    Cream: Lea Menthol.
Post: cold water rinse, Barbon AS.

Today's shave was icy. I didn't get the best lather in the world, but I still got a DFS shave with it. I think I like soap more. I seem to get more stable lathers with them. I got three tiny weepers on my neck, but they healed when I splashed cold water on my neck. I finished off with a final menthol blast with Barbon and it soothed my skin, especially where the weepers were.

Traveling Open Comb: Merker 25c Day 1

Prep: warm shower, Shea Moisture scrub
    Croap: RazoRock Captain's Choice
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: Merkur 25c
    Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock yellow
    Post: Cold water rinse
    AS: Captain's Choice Bay Rum

I'm a part of an open comb pass around in one of the forums, and I was glad to see a package on my porch when I went to shovel snow for the second time. (My driveway is usually SAS after one, but it kept snowing) ;)
The box contained a Gillette Old Type, and a Merkur 25c. I chose the Merkur today because the old type is kind of beat up, and I hear it's more aggressive, so I decided to start slow. I didn't shave yesterday, so I had two days growth.
I also wanted to try the Captain's Choice combo, and the croap did not disappoint. My HIS brush quickly whipped up loads of lather in my Dad's mug. I painted it on my face and loaded up the 25c with a trusty Gillette yellow. This my first try with an open comb, and this thing looks toothy. I was amazed at how easy it was to find the angle - I read that if you can see lines if lather, you're off. And this razor is smooth. I was able to confidently complete my usual WTG-XTG-ATG with no issues or discomfort, however, there was more stubble left than I am used to with my MR10, so I did another pass and got a really nice DFS. I could have stopped after three with no one but me the wiser, but I shave for me, so I pressed on. There was much less burn from the AS than I got last time, too.
My first impression of this razor is very positive! I could easily see using this long handled wonder everyday for worry free shaving.
My first impression of the RazoRock is also very positive. The scent is very nice, maybe too sweet for some, but the lather performs admirably. I was eager to try this one because it has argan oil, and I've heard good things about it. All I can say is my face feels fantastic!
