My day shall consist of picking up all the necessary ingredients to make our traditional New Year's Day dinner of Cioppino! Great time of year for it as fresh dungeness crabs are in stock, and I'll also need some mussels, clams, strip and a good white fish. Plenty of crusty GF bread with it makes it a family meal to remember. Throw in a Rose Bowl game (go Stanford!) & it's going to be a great day!
No hangover! Ok. I didn't drink last night, and was in bed at 10:30pm. Today. Watching the parade, football and taking care of a sick wifey..
Slept in, finished a book & then went to the archery range with my husband. A good start to the year.
My wife is a firm believer in the '12 days' of Christmas, so Christmas decorations in our home stay until January 6 ('Feast of the Epiphany'). At work, however, we have an army of staff and volunteers who today will begin to take down and pack away decorations that are throughout the church campus. The decorations fill over 75 of these large rubbermaid tubs… Thank the Almighty for volunteers!
My day is great! I woke up, hot cup of coffee. Check the status of my Stirling soap order, it'll be delivered today! Life is grand.
Was going to head to the antique stores today to check out some old brushes; but that's down the drain. Too much freezing rain overnight, the whole north end is like a skating rink. I think I'll just sit around and play world of tanks for the day LOL.
Spent New Year's Eve re-caulking the bathtub...............for no reason. Apparently the caulking wasn't responsible for the leak. Stupid Delta faucet with it's plastic innards was the cause. Now to find a replacement. Let me reiterate just how much fun caulking a bathtub is. /sarcasm
I should have a better update tonight, but Limecat -- thank God -- is coming along. Still in the hospital, but things are still improving.
The faucet for my sink is having "issues" and I'm pretty sure it's due to plastic parts. You message has saved me some time, energy, and money.
