Seems I can handle 5 degrees F with no wind a whole lot better than 34 degrees F with a windchill of 15 degrees. I hate the wind ANY time of year.
Having lived in both Vegas and Phoenix, AZ, Vegas has humidity. Mind you not the kind of humidity like non-desert areas have, but still more humidity than Phoenix. No wind (though it can feel nice on hot days) and no humidity (never ever feels nice) and I'd be happy.
The Limecat got moved out of ICU to a regular room Saturday morning and today, took a short walk around his room without any assistance. His spirits are good as well.
My Arko stick came in the mail! I immediately tried it out, and... Well... In fine with the smell, but my face isn't fine with shaving this morning and then again just after getting home with minimal prep. Fortunately, the mildness of the fat handle tech and the crappiness of the combination with a Bic Chrome Platinum meant that I don't have any cuts, just some roughness.
I woke up so hungry I don't feel like eating. That's just ridiculous. It's not like I didn't eat last night.
Very cold here this morning..........for south Texas anyway (coldest morning in decades): 18 degress F. Off to get new rear windshield...............
Got an exciting call yesterday from my preacher. He does a weekly internet broadcast, but is changing to a different website. With the change, he wanted a pre-recorded introduction, so he called on me to be the voice! I'm kind of excited about it. Once, when I was in high school, I did a couple of radio ads for a yearbook fundraiser on the local radio station, but this is my first time on internet radio. The show is at 6:30 pm central on Tuesdays on The Gospel Radio Network I don't know if my intro will make it on tonight's show or if it will be next week, but if you get a chance, tune in any way. You're sure to hear something thought provoking at the least!
Hope you have a spare arm and leg. That's one of the most expensive pieces of glass on that ride, for some dumb reason, despite being a flat sheet with simple curves.
Tried to go pay rent for The Shave Den Shop booth at the Bedford Country Store just a few minutes ago. They weren't open. Yes, it's cold outside. Yes, there probably wouldn't be many shoppers today. However, I do pay them to be open their posted hours. And this isn't the first time. I went to add some stuff to my booth a week or so ago. I got their just in time for one of the owners to tell me they were closing up for the day because things were slow. I've owned a restaurant in downtown Roanoke. And we walked to the restaurant if we couldn't drive. We were open our posted hours, always. Slow? Cold? Didn't matter. And we weren't collecting rent from people. Not sure how long I'm going to put up with this sort of business style. They didn't even post the closure on their Facebook page.
My day is good. Although I did shave with the Fasan slant I paid toooo much for. It was not good, better results with a butter knife. My wifey is surprising me with lunch (Mexican) yes! You win some and you lose some. Lunch!!!!
that would be nice I was thinking about rings, handmade all the way, I've got some materials at work and some know how, maybe I'll try modeling and casting some we'll see
