I've got one more not to go to Wally World, thev've clearanced both the Van der Hagen shave set and the deluxe soap. I forgot what the set went for, but the pucks went for $1 unfortunately they were all gone before I saw it. If they weren't practically the only game in town I wouldn't even go.
Limecat is heading home! Thank you everyone for the prayers for him! He has some outpatient follow up to do,but he's heading home!
Missed church tonight. Tried to get back home in time... even took the path with less traffic. Then spent almost exactly 30 minutes waiting on a stalled train.
"Two paths diverged in a wood and I took the one less traveled by, and that has made me 30 minutes late." Stupid poets.
Recorded an "outro" for the Church radio broadcast last night, then went back to work. They asked me to move a security camera from a classroom at one end of the hall to one at the other. They have no freakin' idea. I hate suspended ceilings. I hate ladder work. I especially hate fiberglass insulation. And then my wife didn't understand why I was so cranky when I got home. Oy.
Hmm, Micah. Your job sounds suspiciously like mine. I design audio visual and touchscreen control systems for the U of SC. Our department does all of the installs and maintenance too. Over 400 classrooms and numerous boardrooms, conference rooms, and the athletic facilities. And yes, I despise pulling cable and suspended ceilings. Roof cooties are no fun! -J-
I'm the technology department for pre-k through 12 in a small public school, as well as "The Official Voice of Wildcat Sports" (I made that title up, it makes me feel more important.) Pretty much anything that isn't a light switch and has electricity going through it is my domain around here.
Cool, you probably have the better end of things. At least you're limited in the size of school. I'm the last in the chain of responsibility for the 400+ classrooms... When one or two others don't find something unplugged or stolen I have to fix it. The trouble is that classes and events here run 7 days a week and sometimes from 7am to midnight. Afterhours and weekends are no fun especially if you're salaried. Don't knock "The Voice" thing, if you enjoy it even remotely it's worth it in my book...
No doubt. I actually kind of look forward to announcing sometimes. Its about the only part of my job I don't loathe entirely.
What a day! I had a dentist appointment at 1. Didn't really feel very good this morning to start off with. But, I'm sitting in the chair for an hour feeling nauseous, and the feeling is no where near subsiding. Went ahead and rescheduled, as they hadn't done anything but put the bib on me by that point. Then..........driving home, I pass a Pepsi truck. Apparently he didn't like being passed cuz now he's riding my tail, and my van out of nowhere suddenly decelerates! Luckily, he didn't hit me. I get off the road, call a friend immediately, the cop in the median comes over to check on me, and as I roll up my window I realize the car has turned itself off. Still had power (for radio, windows, etc) but no engine. It's a 2005 Honda Odyssey Touring. The display says "Check VSA" and "Check TPMS". The engine won't start, and all my googling has yet to turn up a similar complaint. Sat on the side of the road for 2 and a half hours. Happy to be home and finally had something to eat today. Also glad I had roadside assistance and the tow truck didn't cost me anything.
Me too! I was really shaking after it happened. I was going 60-65 mph, and a big old semi right on my backside! I have no idea what the speed dropped to (it was the least of my concerns at the moment), but I don't think the semi driver noticed the drop. I had to tap my brake to try signaling to him the decrease in speed.
I'm having a nice day. Who wouldn't when it's 74 degrees outside! now I'm watching Surivorman. Cheers..
Sorry about your van JoAnna. At least you're ok and didn't get smushed by that truck. I know the feeling, I've been having issues with my 05' VW Passat too. A few weeks ago I was very thankful for AAA when they had to take it on a flatbed 50 miles to the shop. You'll be in my prayers. I hope you feel better soon.
Hey there. When your car goes into limp mode, it could be as simple as it's low in oil. It could also be your throttle body or transmission is shot. Was it towed to a local shop? Glad you got home ok.
