I got up today and took a long shower and great vaby but smooth shave with a 1940s SS with a omega bore brush and Tabac shave soap sooooo MY DAY IS FRIKIN SWEET so far i just hope its an all say good day good morings dont always happen Wish you all a great say
Where I work we have 12 hr. shifts and every 4 mons. swap from days to nights. This week started our turn on nights and it really sucks trying to sleep during the day. On the plus side I can hit estate sales even work days .
Pulled something similar in Germany stationed at Rhein Main - 12 hour shifts, swap every six weeks, BUT... the days off went: 2 on, 2 off, 3 on 2off, 2 on, 3 off By the end of my six weeks of nights I was always sick because my body had just run itself ragged with the whacked out sleep schedule. Didn't want to spend my days off sleeping; had things to do with my wife and kids.
The job I had before this one had a work schedule like that, fortunately I was on days. But the mixed up days on and off really screw with planning family stuff. My wife hates when we go on nights because she says my personality changes and if it's during busy season with the overtime I'm literally at work mors than home and that really sucks.
Monday night had to pull a late one moving a security camera by myself. They told me to comp my time by taking a whole day off. I asked if I could have next Tuesday. We're off Monday for MLK day. They said "Yes." WOOT! Super long weekend, here I come! And my 3d converter is supposed to be delivered today!
Better to be concerned about someone else than to focus on my own issues... JoAnna, please let us know about the van, I'm still hoping and praying for you that it's something simple. Oh, yeah and cheap!
Thanks! The way my year is starting, if it turns out to be simple and/or cheap, I'll be surprised. But I can still hope!
It's in the mid 70's again today. I'm so exhausted I need a nap! But, I need to stay awake and wait for UPS. Bringing a cat scratch thing. I've got to assemble it before she gets home. Zzzzzzz
