I was on a business trip last week near Pittburgh, it was 15F Saturday morning and I had to work to open the car door because of the ice. It made me appreciate the Gulf Coast weather, I grilled pork chops on the patio this evening in my shirtsleeves.
I'm just glad my kids are grown so I don't have to explain all the E.D. commercials on T V these days. And if my grandson asks? "Go talk to your Dad."
So far it's been great! The flu bug has left me, and today I'll use my new Merkur Progress for the first time! I haven't shaved in almost a week.:hooray:
You're a better man than I. I would be so tempted to go into horridly, embarrassingly graphic detail, complete with charts, illustrations, statistics, and awkward parables for good measure. Teach the little knee-biter to ask gramps about grown-up stuff he saw on TV. Seriously though, it is ridiculous the amount of that kind of stuff is on TV.
LOL, and nice pic too Friday morning in Houston and the schools are closed due to a little freezing rain. We have so many overpasses and bridges that ice up and we don't know how to drive in icy conditions so they tell everyone to stay off the roads. The kids will be happy when they wake up ahd hear the news.
Watching the news this morning, there's a lot of accidents and some major bridges closed. I'll just stay inside, drink coffee and browse the internet.
17 degrees F, wind chill making it feel like 5 degrees. Sun shining bright... Yup - time to grill. Just gonna keep it simple with some burgers and dogs, but I gotta get my BBQ fix!
Okay, how's everyone doing? Remodels, cars, health, job hunts? Got my new (used) motor yesterday. Taking it to my friend's house tomorrow morning. I soooooo miss my van. Ahhh......heated seats. What can I say? I'm a small, poorly insulated gal. I needs my heated seats!
Crazy! The wife started contracting more today, with a little more intensity. Little dude is about to make an appearance in a day or two.
I appreciate it. She slept horribly last night due to em. Every 15-20 minutes or so she woke up. I feel for her. Makes me glad to be male.
