Did you get it to work? Try reconfiguring the GLC15 to DSAT standards with a 154d reboot.... Works every time!
On my end, today is shaping up pretty well. The new blood pressure meds seem to be doing their job. Finally!
Yep I got it running. Turned out I was looking at it all wrong and change the crypto maps to some different interfaces, changed some routing for the layer 2 stuff and BAZINGA. Sometimes I wish things were a little less complicated but we're pushing quite a few networks over single routers so we accidentally were confusing the router on which crypto to use on which interface, cause it was expecting tunnels that didn't exist.
Ummm, good for you! That makes as much sense to me as the completely fabricated nonsensical "advice" I gave you probably meant to you! (But maybe I impressed some penguins with my supposed technical prowess!).
Actually when I explained the ACTUAL whole process, several people above me in rank started going crosseyed and the sum total of the conversation ended with "So it works?" "Yes it does" "Good"
You just described the technical to managerial relationship in IT today. I could tell the director above me that monkeys with wings are what makes the humming sounds of computers and they would believe me. It used to bother me, but I have fun with it now.
I wish we could swap here in UK wettest January for a long time and temps under 10 so not a happy time, just seems rain rain and more rain.
Ladies and gentleman, I present to you an actual e-mail I recieved from a "teacher" at work today: And we wonder why kids are idiots.
Speaking of computers, the final transition from PCs to Macs happens today in our office. I've been a Mac user since 1984, so I'm pleased to see the rest of the office make the switch. 16 boxed imacs filled the hallways the past few days, so it will be nice when they're in place and everyone is up & running.
Looks like it was typed on a smartphone. There are no periods. Can't be bothered to find such silly things as periods. The phone is smart, the person doesn't need to be. Right? As for any of the typos/grammatical errors, the smartphone is a grammatical overlord and will make you say what it wants you to say! RISE UP, PEOPLE, RISE UP!
I don't have a smart phone, yet. I cam make all the grammatical errors on my own, with no technological assistance.
Really, you should see some of the trouble reports that we get from PhD University Professors... You almost have to learn to translate them into something actually meaningful otherwise you go on a goose chase for the wrong piece of equipment or wrong functionality. Oh, and I might add in the wrong room or even building sometimes. I've been on the phone and said "but, I'm standing in that room now" and been argued down... Uuugghhh! Some days it amazes me how someone can have a PhD and absolutely NO common since. Oh, and it's always awesome when I can pull up the remote view of the Touch-Screen controls and watch them touch the wrong buttons over the phone even though I'm telling them which ones to press... Most don't know that we can see that along with the webcams we have sitting on the projectors. I have an estranged uncle who had to get someone else to help him hang a ceiling fan because he couldn't read the instructions to do it himself but he has two Masters and a PhD. Hmmm???? Wow! I feel better now... Don't get me wrong, I know some really nice professors a few of whom aren't like this at all. It's just frustrating sometimes...
