1. Hello All
AT&T has a new pricing model. With my family plan (2 lines). I went from $160 & 6GB per month, to $130 & 10GB per month. A savings of $360 a year! Now I can afford to buy MdC. ;)

  2. Double like! Get some Le Pere' Lucien while you are at it - then have a Paris-themed shave week (you know, champagne while shaving, exquisite coffee, a chocolat' croissant...)

  3. This is GREAT soap.
  4. Le Pere' Lucien isn't priced out of this world. $38.99 200g tin. With my new found saving it's possible.

  6. Excellent! I'd really like to see what you think. I've made many purchases based on reviews written from the fine folks here at TSD.

  7. Really? I was in an AT&T store last weekend considering switching from T-Mobile and they had me paying WAY more than I pay now. $130 would be great. Do you have phones currently financed with them? That seems to be where they screw you to the wall. If you do, could you tell me what plan you have?

  8. No. No Next for me. I have the family share plan. 2 phones, unlimited talk/text 10GB all for $130 per month. Go to AT&T web site, or call 611. This promo ends March 31 2014.
  9. Weird, I just asked an agent to run taxes, surcharges, etc for me and the final would come out to be more than I'm paying now... So much for that, LOL!

  10. Go to AT&T's website. Yesterday I called and was told the new pricing did not apply to me. I read another article today about the changes. I went to the site and it's as clear as day that I'm eligible. I called, talked to a rep and was given the new price. I believe some of the reps are clueless to the change.

The new pricing went into effect today I believe.
  11. I did an online chat with a rep. She said that once I was out of contract in September it would be the $130 but that leaves you paying full price for the phones because the $130 is based on being out of contract. In contract it would be $180 even with the promotion. I'll stick to my old grandfathered unlimited data plan for two lines at $170 and be glad to only pay $199 for the new phones when they come out instead of the $500 or $600 they would be otherwise...
  12. I use straight talk. $49 a month.
  13. I can only speak about my contract. I'm still under contract for a year. And I'd still receive the small discount for an upgrade.
  14. I may check again in the next day or two...
  15. Interesting... I was looking at the website the other day and the 300MG plan got lowered to 60/mo and I was paying 70. Would've been nice of them to mention that I had the option to switch to the lower rate. But, I had to find this one out on my own.

  16. I am already on a 10Gb share plan. I just went to the AT&T site, and it says my rates will automatically be reduced to $130 a month! :happy036:

  17. Wow, that's expensive! I can't believe it has to be that expensive to own a cell phone with a plan.

The biggest plan here with unlimited speech, free text/mms, 6GB of data (adding more GB costs very little) costs ~$40 per person.

The plan I have with 2 hours of speech (I don't even talk that much), 1GB of data (I'm on wifi all the time) and free text/mms costs me ~$18.

Am I missing something that's included in the AT&T pricing that's not obvious to a foreigner like me?

$130.... I'd twist and twerk in my sleep :scared011:

  18. If I had to guess, I'd say we pay so much for cell phone service because the US is a very large country. Attempting to offer coverage to such a large widespread land area can't be cheap. Maintenance, personnel, brick and mortar locations, etc.
All that and because Americans will pay it. Everyone has to have their cell phones. It has become the center of people's lives.

What you do in the privacy of your own home is your own business, but please no twerking at TSD! :p
