My girlfriend would have kicked me in the ass if I bought stuff that I never use hahaha. My friend, I have 2 soaps and for now its more than enough. I would like to try out new scents but I think about the cost and that if I buy more I wouldnt be able to use the once I have. My opinion is, sell some stuff om ebay and limit yourself to at most 30 soaps(I would like to say 10, but I will be nice). Start with keeping the favourites, you must have many hahaha
I probably won't sell the stuff but I may donate it to my local homeless shelter. I'd feel better knowing that some homeless person is shaving with an ATT Razor, a Shavemac 30MM D-01 brush, and a jar of Acqua di Parma. Seriously though, my severe OCD is with purpose.......with the intent of having all of you benefit. More later and thanks for the laughs.
Soap Dynasty......love it. And to the hilarious tag line.......the road to hell is paved with soap pucks....what is the road to heaven paved with?
This is a fun thread, with just our imaginations thinking about the possibilities of what your house looks, or if you are exaggerating or not. It is boggling the mind. How about some photos.
OK, if I had been drinking anything, I would have just shot it through my nose! Funniest thing I've read in a while - thanks for the chuckle. The problem is that I'm on the same road you have travelled to get where you are...is the scenery nice getting there? LOL
Would it be too much to ask to post a picture of all 419 soaps and creams? Just wanted to see what that looks like, I bet it is awsom. Dave
I have 19 soaps right now, and that's chump change to Mr Wonderful's stash, but I expect it will continue to grow, as I love the variety. I also realize that some of these soaps may disappear - ABCBA, XXX, and others that were limited runs, etc - but if I have purchased them as they were available, they will be there for me to use for years to come, as I rotate through the soaps in my den. I guess I understand the mindset of having scores, or even hundreds of soaps on hand - it adds to the "spice of life" for me...then again, I'm the guy that cooks with a ton of spices as well - so soaps are to my nose and beard as spices are to my nose and palate.
I know many of you think I write with humor. Attached are images of the shave products I have laid out for the next two weeks.
My man.. If it makes you happy and you can afford it, then u shouldnt feel bad. Im new to wetshaving actually, I already feel the urge to buy a few more soaps =P but I cant afford to indulge myself. But the fact that U can use a new soap everyday for a year might be the sign to slow down a bit =) I still think this fraction of your gear looks very nice =)
