Been clean shaven ever since I was old enough to need to shave. Partially due to joining the Navy at 18 and still shaving daily 30 years later. One of the popular things today that I don't understand is the thought that a 3 days of growth look is acceptable. Maybe I'm just getting old, but the idea of men showing up to work, needing a shave and wearing clothes I wouldn't wear to paint drives me crazy. Ok, getting off the soapbox now.
Circle beard or Van Dyke depending on how the mood hits me, and also depending on how you define the Van Dyke, because to some, the circle beard is the same thing.
As in Bob's case, the color of my facial hair has changed over time. My beard has gone from dark, dark brown for years to darn near 'white as wool'—no matter whether it on the jawline, chin or upper lip. For years, I wore a mustache—from 1981 to about 2000, which grew into a 'stash & goatee combo for years until it all went white. Only a remnant remains below my bottom lip.
