    Same setup, different result
Today I tried to duplicate the great shave I got yesterday, but it did not work out that way. I ended up with a pretty good burn and a couple of weepers that were short lived.
The only different thing was a new Gillette Sharp Edge blade. These blades rarely let me down, so perhaps my technique lagged. Or, perhaps the Old Type head is a little much for everyday when I skip the WTG pass? Tomorrow I'll go back to WTG first to see if that makes a difference.

Prep: Warm face wash with Shea Moisture TBS
    Soap: Tabac!
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: Frankenrazor
Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock sharp edge yellow
Synergy Coconut Bay Butter Balm before ATG
AS: Krampert's Finest Bay Rum, a little more butter balm photo.JPG

The Stahly head is a very efficient razor when you get it away from the wind up gimmick. Very close 2 pass face / 1 pass head shave. BBS

    Menthol Monday
    Hot shower
    Nivea menthol face wash
    Merkur Progress (4)
    Gillette 7 o'clock Super Stainless (1)
    Omega Pro48
    Stirling Glacial
    Cold rinse
    Alum
    Cold rinse
    Dickinson WH
    Osage Rub
    444

My Progress fell apart! I pulled the handle to hard! It took a couple of minutes to figure out, once I did it was as simple as 1-2-3.
The Glacial froze my face! Cleared my sinus! Watered my eyes! Nice! I can still feel the Osage tingling my hands. 444 again was great. DFS was had!

Egypt has some amazing creams - this newer version of Ingram which is called "Extra Cool" really lives up to its name. The menthol effect is a good deal stronger than the regular kind. The reason I called it "Green" is because it comes in a white and green tube. It has the same wonderful lather and scent, with terrific skincare. The 444/Barbon combination gave me so much iciness to make the end of this lovely shave a delight. Sorry for not showing any pictures today. ;) :D

    Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Bath Soap
Soap: LA Shaving Soap Woody Lavender
Razor: Gillette Red Tip Super Speed
Blade: Gillette 7 O’Clock Black Super Platinum (3)
Brush: Plisson Lucite Grey Badger 22mmx52mm
    Aftershave: Barbon

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)

I am still with my Red Tip, 7 O’Clock Black, and Plisson Grey Badger. I used the LA Shaving Soap Woody Lavender today. Great combination, especially the Red Tip and Black Ninja. I finished up with Barbon.

It is back in the 80's F in south Texas again. Our two weeks of "winter" is over. The trees are budding...........
