I waited for the mailman to shave today because my Shavecraft 101 and Krampert's Finest Frostbite were to arrive from Italian Barber.
The razor is nice and heavy and beautiful, IMHO. The Krampert's flask is classy and sturdy.
I jumped in the shower after unwrapping the razor and pouring the Frostbite into its flask. I used my usual Shea Moisture Three Butters Scrub on my face. The shavecraft is, so far, in between my Old Type and Maggard MR10 for efficiency. My shave today wasn't very good, probably because I was too excited to use the razor, and perhaps went too quickly, instead of taking my time to learn the angles. I got a few weepers on my neck, but a DFS there and BBS on my cheeks.
I went for a cold shave today: Synergy Frost Byte and Krampert's Frostbite make quite a pair! My face is still cold, and I'm glad for it, because just under the cold feeling, it feels tight and a little irritated. I used some Synergy Butter Balm after the splash to loosen my face up a bit.

Live and learn - I'll take my time tomorrow, and post better impressions of the razor after a week of use.

Prep: Warm shower, Shea Moisture TBS
    Soap: Synergy Frost Byte
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: iKon Shavecraft 101
Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock Sharp Edge Yellow
Synergy Coconut Bay Butter Balm before ATG
AS: Krampert's Finest Frostbite, a bit more butter balm

    Hot shower
    Nivea menthol face wash
    Merkur Progress (4.5)
    Voskhod Teflon Coated (1)
    Biotique Bio Palmyra
    Semogue 750
    Georgetown G12 Scuttle
    Cold rinse
    Alum
    Cold rinse
    Dickinson WH
    Royal Copenhagen Musk AS
    444

Everything worked perfectly together! A small dab of the Biotique goes a long way. I'm not sure why it smells like apples, but it does. The Voskhod teamed with the Progress was excellent. 444 is without doubt my go2 balm. Leaves my face cool and smooth. Friday Friday Friday!!

My first time with Dr. Dittmar soap was very promising. It seems to me that Cella is at stake.

So that's how you know the enemy...
At lease you were not ordered to shave with a cartridge.

Nope, but I'm thinking of ordering a Feather Artist Club to haul with me for the final day where we can shave, so I can mow everything down nicely. This is actually going to drive me nuts, I hate not shaving nowadays!!!!

This is twice now that Stirling has sucked 4 or 5 hairs out of that brush! It a WSP HMW, seems like it should be able to handle a thick soap without shedding!

Other than that. All around great shave! I need to go back to SE for awhile. :love055:

Honestly, anybody who can do three passes with this Yeti Snot soap is either a hopelessly-addicted menthol junkie, or just plain sick in the head. (I must be both!) This soap is so frikkin' cold that as soon as your brush makes contact with your face, the freeze begins and gets stronger and stronger to the point where your eyes start tearing and your nose starts running. The lather is nice and rich - not especially thick, but it's very, very workable. I love the peppermint/menthol scent that it has also. The only thing which needs improvement however, is the skincare department. Otherwise, this is a marvellous soap. The 444/Rubby Dubby Doo combination moisturized my skin and added tons of extra freezing. I enjoyed this shave so much, and I'm so BBS! ;) :D

Musgo Real Lime Basil cream in the scuttle

Terrific start to a Saturday. Slept in a bit and then had a nice long hot shower with the Musgo Real Lime Basil bar soap. A fantastic scent and a great soap.

Enjoyed the same scent with the shave cream and took my time as I continue to learn how to use a straight razor. That is, after we had a short discussion on who had dibs on the sink.

    SATURDAY
Broke out another straight this morning. The Clauss is one of my SRs I haven't yet 'touched up' the edge on my sharpening hones yet. I should, as it could benefit from it.
I like this razor and since it was a bit tuggy, the timing is right. Still overall, a decent shave, thanks to the MdC.
    Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
