The mirror in my shower hooks up to the water. The hot water warms the mirror from the inside so it doesn't fog. I haven't used it much but it does work.

When I had a full beard, I would shave my neck with a Mach 3 in the shower. I wouldn't even try a full shave in the shower with a DE.

I find it waaay easier. Perfect beard hydration and no worries if my lather gets um.... over enthusiastic.

I'd love to be able to shave in the shower, but shaving without my glasses on would be dangerous....

Yeah I could see that being a problem. LoL. Whoops I don't think that was my beard.

I shaved for YEARS with Pre de Provence body soap (different scents) in the shower and using razor cartridges, with absolutely NO problems. I didn't know any better, and loved it. Probably for 15+ years.
That was, until I learned to DE shave with some of the most amazing soaps ever (IMHO). And got tired of paying for those ridiculous cartridge prices. I'll never NOT shave in the shower. And now, never NOT DE shave.

Did I save money? No. Actually, it has co$t me a lot of $$, but I don't care. Shaving (being clean faced) is something that I have always absolutely loved, even when I didn't know I was "doing it right".

Yeah I'm not so sure I'm saving much money here either lol. But you know if we could just buy one razor some blades and one type of shave cream or soap we would save a lot compared to cartridge and canned goo. But NO we want to collect 100 diffrent razors and have a million products to go with them lol. So it's our own falts for spending the money but it sure is fun.
Since you like shaving in the shower you should give the soap I mentioned a go if you haven't already. Thanks for the reply.

Oh and sorry to say this @HolyRollah but...... I tried out the shave butter last night and I HATE it lol. Sorry but yeah that's just not for me. It's to thick and greasy I guess for me I don't know, I got weepers for the first time last night and just did not get a good shave at all. Everybody is different and I am glad you enjoy it. It's not for me though, as for the company though I think their great.

Yep, not surprised. As I said earlier, "The shave butter is a rather polarizing product—folks either seem to love it or despise it." ;)
That said, I do enjoy the stuff. It is slick stuff— not what I would consider 'greasy' as it is readily absorbed if you rub it in (typical of many products using shea butter). I use it for both DE and straight razors. Skin feels great postshave. You're not alone—by the way. Other TSD members have tried it and said, 'yuk! no thanks!'—so you're in good company. :)

Well, I have a tup of it so I will try again one day. Maybe I will try using it diffrenty. There was somebody talking about using a little bit of it with thier shave cream or soap as an additive. The properties are good in it so they figured mix t in. Greasy was lack of a better word. Also my blade kept getting really clogged. Anyway as I said its cool that the product works so well for you. Though I don't use the soap very often do to not shower shaving I really do like it. I'll just use it as my soap sometimes too. But I like to save it for if I shave in the shower.

My wife loves the scent & actually will take a dab of the shave butter & use it as hand cream. And you are right about it being prone to clogging blades. It is thick, and since it goes on more like a dense balm than a fluffy lather, no surprises there!.
I've read reviews where guys tried using the shave butter with multiblade cartridges—ha! BTW: No clogging issues with a straight! :p
