    Prep: CeraVe facial cleanser
    Soap: HTGAM unscented
    Brush: Oscar11 boar
    Razor: iKon ShaveCraft
    Blade: Kai
    After: cold rinse, CeraVe lotion

Got a better mix of water with the HTGAM soap today. Last time I added too much water into the bowl when I was building the lather. Today I face lathered and got better results. Every time I use the boar brush it seems to soften up more.

Three smooth passes with the ShaveCraft razor and the Kai blade gave me a good result. After day 2 with the Kai blade, my opinion is forming. It is a decent blade, but I like Gillette SharpEdge yellow better both for sharpness and especially for smoothness.

Nice razors! I'm assuming you start the shave with the DblDk & finish with the Aristo; versus DE & then straight?

I did almost the same as I did yesterday. Except I used my tube of Neutrogena Skin Clearing Shave Cream. I like that WD 30/65 Silver Tip Brush.
    It lathered up very well

    An unusual scent
Today I tried the Stirling Bonaparte soap I traded for recently. I have to say the scent is unusual. As I whipped up the lather with my Dad's old boar brush, the odor was rather unpleasant... A complex, musky beginning. It changed a bit during the shave, and has dried down to a spicy incense-type scent that is strong enough to outlast my aftershave. The dry down is still complex, but much nicer smelling than at the start.
The brush worked well for me, not as soft or pleasant on my face as my HIS, but it got the job done and left me with a solid DFS with no weepers.
    Prep: Shea Moisture TBS
    Soap: Stirling Bonaparte
    Brush: Ever Ready c40
    Razor: Shavecraft 101
    Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock yellow

Yes, I use the straight for my cheeks, jaw line and neck. I use the DE for the goatee area. I have only shaved my mustache off once in the last 25 years. I figure that I am refining both straight razor and DE razor techniques at the same time. I also use both hands for shaving, right side with the right hand and left hand for the left side. I do seem to get a little better shaving result with my non dominant hand.

    Prep:shower
    Razor: ER 1924
    Blade: GEM SS (2)
    Brush: Omega 10810
    Lather: Synergy Cavendish
    Passes: Sides;XTG,ATG chin;WTG, WTG.
    Results: 2-pass BBS

Looks like the Synergy has met the challenge I place on a soap to prove its worth. A shave with my most aggressive razor the Ever Ready 1924. I'm not sure why i bother with other SEs this '24 gives me a BBS ever time! Lets just see how the PdP and TSD stack up to it.

That seems to be the case a lot of times. The non-dominant hand delivers the best results! Not sure why (maybe deeper concentration) but a lot of shavers say the same thing. :signs002:

Call me 'the oddball' then..:think002: Although I am getting fairly comfortable and competent wielding a straight in my non-dominant right hand, I yield to my left hand for any fine tuning or delicate shaving in areas such as throat, upper lip, etc. Using my right hand does require my full attention and concentration—so I completely see how others derive benefit from using the weaker hand. Consider me Sinistra Maximus...
