My whipped dog silver tip badger brush came in the mail today. (So exited)
I made a thread about where to get a badger brush. A lot of you told me to go for the whipped dog. I could only get a 20mm at the time. They were out of all the other sizes. So I got one with a bamboo handle drilled 10mm deeper. (People said they lacked backbone and needed to be 10-15mm deeper.)
I love it. It loaded great and lathered even better. It was soft and held water wonderfully. A little shedding was present when I first opened the package (like two hairs maybe) but while lathering there was none. I love the bamboo handle it suite my style and is easy to hold. The smell was not to bad either. I did soak it in the Oxy Clean it came with. It came with a few instructions as well as a sample of Brut aftershave.
Thank you all for the advice on getting this brush. Larry kept in touch with me and delivery was very speedy. I will defiantly be ordering from Larry at Whipped Dog again.
Not bad for my first silver tip.

I can only say that I agree with the above post. My WD 30/65 Silver Tip seems to get better every time I use it.
Congratulations enjoy. I would have to say Larry is very easy to work with and when he says it's going to be there on a certain day it's there in your hands.

    Sweet score!
You sound a bit disappointed that "all you could get" was 20mm. For me that is the optimum size. I find 24mm just on the verge of too large and anything under 18mm would be too small.

Don't feel bad....I just broke my Van Der Hagen Razor and Brush holder. I tried to push my WD 30/65 Silver Tip in it after I shaved a few minutes ago. Oh well I really did not like the brush stand any way. :angry019: So I will have to find one to get so I can hang it and my Razor to dry. :angry017: So I will e-mail Larry @ Whipped Dog and ask him which Brush and Razor Stand he recommends. :shaver

Grats on the quality brush and knott. Its such a huge difference when you make that jump to the upper level badger knott/hair. I made my jump early as the maker that I was following/stalking was being deployed so I made the leap and am very pleased I did. Enjoy the brush man!

Nice, but I think I would flip that brush around to bristles up, rather than resting in the lap like that. Over time the hairs could get warped out of shape like so many brushes I've seen that have been left in shaving mugs bristles down.

The way it's on there it's really not putting any pressure on the bristles. The end of the handle is resting on a part of the statue and sort of holding it back. I'm going to rotate it everyday as well, while dry it can go the other way but wet will be this way. I can't find anything else to be able to hold this brush upside down. It's being a square handle kinda limited me. Thanks and I'll be keeping a close watch on it lol.
