This PIF is now closed. Mrs Lady_Badger and I wanted to put together a PIF since everybody on here has been so generous. And if it wasn't for Mrs Badger winning a very nice PIF on here she may of not been hooked to traditional shaving like she is now. We also love music. So our conditions to this PIF is that you be CONUSA only and that you post some of your favorite song lyrics. We love all music so genre and era do not matter. I'm sure I don't have to say this but, please keep the lyrics clean. The prizes are. A 1.7oz tube C&O Bigelow shave cream with eucalyptus A puck of deluxe VDH shave soap A pack of CVS brand double edge razor blades A dollar store cappuccino mug A hand made by Lady_Badger camo paracord survival keychain All prizes are brand new. This would make a good newbie set but, we are not limiting it to newbies. So newbies and oldies have at it, PIF will close next Thursday night 03/13 and the winner will be announced Friday morning 03/14. We will be using random.org to select the winner. Good luck. Let's make a musical. Entries 1) razorburn123 2) dws2112 3) dscaver 4) figment714 5) npupplo 6) Bzero007 7) ezarsdad 8) Jay22 9) Jayaruh
It's a tough decision for me but, I'll kick it off. Not in lol "Keep, keep it together. Forever keep people together. Keep it together in the family. They're a reminder of your history. brothers & sisters they hold the key. To your heart & your soul. Don't forget that your family is gold. When I look back. And all the misery. And all the heartache. That they brought to me. I wouldn't change it. For abother chance. 'Cause blood is thicker. Than any circumstance. Keep, keep it together. Keep people together. Forever and ever." Madonna's Keep It Together
My all time favorite song from 1979 Triumph Lay It On The Line It's the same old story all over again You turn a lover into just another friend I wanna love you I wanna make you mine Won't you lay it on the line I'm tired of playin foolish games I'm tired of all your lies makin me insane I don't ask for much the truth will do just fine Won't you lay it on the line
Excellent PIF, missus & mr Badger! Don't count me in as I don apply (not CONUS). The minions and me love lots of kinds of music as well. This is one of our favourites (careful: it's French! Okay, just for you guys and gals, the translation (not perfect, but close enough for me anyway!) The Umbrella It was raining hard on the highway She hurried along without cover I had with me an umbrella, stolen That very morning from a friend Running over to her rescue I offered her a little shelter Wiping the weather off her sweet face She complied very softly with a “yes.” A little corner of an umbrella For a little corner of Paradise There was something about her of an angel A little corner of Paradise For a little corner of an umbrella It wasn’t a bad bargain, heavens! Along the way, how sweet it was To hear with her the tra la la Made by the water from the sky pattering Against the roof of my umbrella I would have liked, as during the Flood To see the rain fall without end To keep her there, under my refuge Forty days and forty nights A little corner of an umbrella For a little corner of Paradise There was something about her of an angel A little corner of Paradise For a little corner of an umbrella It wasn’t a bad bargain, heavens! But inevitably, even in storm Roads continue on to each’s country Soon enough hers appeared, a great wall On the horizon of my passion It came time for her to leave After thanking me profusely And I saw her figure grow ever smaller As she gaily vanished into memory A little corner of an umbrella For a little corner of Paradise There was something about her of an angel A little corner of Paradise For a little corner of an umbrella It wasn’t a bad bargain, heavens!
I am in So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell, blue skies from pain. Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail? A smile from a veil? Do you think you can tell? Did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts? Hot ashes for trees? Hot air for a cool breeze? Cold comfort for change? Did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage? How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year, Running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here. CONUS?
Excellent choice! I love that song. - The whole album in fact! I met my better half on a Pink Floyd concert in '89 in Belgium. CONtinental USa, if I'm not mistaken.
Not in, but here is one of my favorites; Sir Greenbaum's Madrigal In Sherwood Forest There dwelt a knight Who was known As the righteous Sir Greenbaum And many dragons Had felt the might Of the smite Of the righteous Sir Greenbaum I chanced upon him one morn When he'd recently rescued a maiden fair Why, why art thou so forlorn Sir Greenbaum, is thy heart heavy laden? Said he, "Forsooth 'Tis a sorry plight That engendered my attitude bluish" Said he, "I don't wanna be a knight That's no job for a boy who is Jewish" All day with the mighty sword And the mighty steed and the mighty lance All day with that heavy shield And a pair of aluminum pants All day with the slaying and slewing And smiting and smoting like Robin Hood Oh, wouldst I could kick the habit And give up smoting for good And so he said to the other knights, "You may have my possessions and my goods For I am moving to Shaker Heights Where I've got some connections in dry goods Farewell to the dragon's paw And the other swashbuckling games and sports I'll work for my father in law When I marry Miss Guinevere Schwartz"
That's pretty freaking cool. Thank you for that. Sorry about the CONUSA thing. Awesome. Love it That's cool.
I guy who sells vinyl at the flea market let me here a bootleg Pink Floyd album the other day. Flowers and vegetables I think it's called. I had know idea they had that kinda sound when they first got going. Very different then what I am used to hearing of theirs. I loved it. Post a song anyway lol just say not in. You can still post a song man. Lol

OK... not in ....since I'm learning to play the basics of this one and I'm on a major Clapton kick lately... The rain is falling through the mist Of sorrow that surrounded me. The sun could never thaw away The the bliss that lays around me.
Oh alright, you talked me into it. This one reminds me of all the guys I served with and all the stuff I've seen in the world. Five Finger Death Punch- Far From Home Another day in this carnival of souls Another night settles in as quickly as it goes The memories of Shadows ink on the page And I can't seem to find my way home And it's almost like Your heaven's trying everything Your heaven's trying everything To keep me down. All the places I've been and things I've seen A million stories that made up A million shattered dreams. The faces of people I'll never see again And I can't seem to find my way home.
Thanks that's great. I should download all these songs and make a TSD CD lol Ashley said receiving a TSDCD is better then receiving a STD. Not sure how she knows this lol.
