    Fact:
    The yellow-eyed penguin is believed to be the rarest penguin species, with only approximately 5,000 birds surviving in the wild, though population numbers fluctuate. They can only be found along the southeastern coast of New Zealand and smaller nearby islands.

    Im IN...
    The stereotypical male and female parenting roles are reversed for Emperor penguins. The male penguin incubates his mate’s egg while she goes out to feed. And once the little chick hatches, the male penguin feeds it with milk that he produces in his esophagus.

    Not in, but here is my favorite penguin fact;
    They are black & white, so they are hard to see when swimming (looking down, at their backs into dark waters or up at their bellies, into the sunlight.) This is called counter-shading.

    Don't have a Tech, but have heard so much about it and would love to try it. I am in!

    Penguins - Did you know their eye-sight work better when they are underwater than when they are on the ground? It's true!

    Penguins exist on 4 continents, and Africa's oldest penguin species dates back 7 million years.

    Penguin’s black and white plumage serves as camouflage while swimming. The black plumage on their back is hard to see from above, while the white plumage on their front looks like the sun reflecting off the surface of the water when seen from below.

    Penguins in Antarctica have no land based predators.

    Penguins can drink salt water, their supraorbital gland filters excess salt from the bloodstream. I'm in, thanks!

    I'm in the scientific name for penguin is Spheniscidae .. Come from the kingdom of Animalia Phylum, Chordata, Class, Aves, that mostly feed on krill fish or squid. Most live near the Southern Hemisphere but some live as far north as the Galápagos penguin near the Equator
