Speick? Spike? Speak? Just had my first shave with this cream and no matter how it's pronounced, it's wonderful stuff. Without a doubt, this is what a great shave is supposed to feel like. Wow!
Per the German, "Sh-pike"!— with a long "i" sound. I've not used the soap, but the cream is excellent!
I've only used the stick, grated and pressed into a bowl and used as a conventional puck - great stuff!
I believe that only the 'Active' line of Speick comes in a tub. The regular is in cream or shave stick form.
I had another wonderful Spickey shave this morning. I really like this stuff. I had been sort of a Proraso guy up till the Speick but the Proraso, as much as I like it, has been usurped
I wish I could tolerate it. I loved the smell but it made me break out. No idea what's in it that causes the adverse reaction. Fortunately I can use the Splash, and I have the Balm on the way.
So far, I haven't reacted to anything but newbie technique I got the lotion in last week. Great scent and feel afterwards and would love to try the balm. I'd appreciate knowing your impressions of the balm once you've used it.
I've got a tube of this cream that was gifted to me a few years back and has been sitting on the shelf ever since, so I suppose I'll have to try it here soon enough. I agree though that the scent is very very enticing.
I must say I LOVE The Balm. The Scent is a little milder than the Splash, IMO, but I feel it has excellent post shave properties.
Be sure to try the AS Splash then too. Amazing skin care and great classic scent! Best AS I've ever found.
I had a tube and gave it away, or sold it. I can't remember. I couldn't get past the scent. But I also hated the scent of Arko and now find it pleasant. A friend of mine has sent me another tub of Speick and it should be here soon. I'll post here if I can get past the scent and shave with it.
