Okay Shavers as some of you will know, I'm new to the community and the hobby. As such I'm in the process of getting all my supplies and begin experimenting. I've picked up some of what I need, but now really need a good razor recommendation that is budget friendly.

So any recommendations for something less than $30? Our very own @Lutebro has a WSP El Grande DE for $25 that looks very nice, but is it good for a newbie or is there something else I should be looking at?

    Thanks!

Razors tend to be a very "YMMV" kind of thing in so far as how they work on your face...Remember technique plays an important part in how any razor works for you...
Are you looking for a 2/3 piece,TTO, Adjustable or Straight...While you should do your research on these and other razors including vintage to help make your decision...Some modern brands that may meet your money criteria from I.M.O. best to worse are:
Edwin Jagger 89(a favorite 3 piece of mine)
    Merkur 34C
    Parker
    Sabi
    Cadet
    Lord
    Weishi
    Yuma
    Good luck on your hunt...:happy088:

I really really like the WSP. It's very forgiving and could last you a very long time. I have had my share of razors and this little $25 beauty is quite the shaver. I don't just say that because I'm selling it. Since it hasn't sold I've considered keeping it but would love to pass it on to a newbie!

you could be fortunate and find that ultra-rare Gillette Toggle ($$$) in an antique store for $10 as a fellow TSD member did! ;)

blanka I will not eat my shaving products. Promise.

The Razorock Mission is a good cost-effective choice. However, if you're going vintage, a Tech typically makes for a nice and mild first shaver (and cost effective).
