Thursday Morning Shave Razor: Edwin Jagger DE8911 Blade: Rapira (3) Brush: Vie-Long White Horse Hair Soap: Proraso Green Proraso green cooled my face with its methol ingredient. Although it makes rich lather I didn't feel its scent like other soaps so I won't probably buy it again.
Righty tighty, lefty loosey I've noticed that my left cheek is smoother for longer than my right cheek. Today I decided to find out if that is because I usually shave right-handed, and get a different angle on the left as a consequence. This morning I switched hands and used my left hand to shave my right side. Result: not so great on the right. My cheeks are still both BBS, and my neck is DFS, but I got some weepers and burn on the right. I may try it again, but for now back to basics. Thursday: L'Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash #6 Horsehair Super Speed/Rapira day 4 Stirling Black Ice SS Thayers Witch Hazel Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS Santos de Cartier EdT Smoother than silk, smelling great, and ready to go - this Black Ice soap is another one of Rod's great creations. It has a nice black licorice scent which starts off strong, but then it lightens up while you're shaving. The lather is so easy to build and it's very cooling and protective. The witch hazel and Aqua Velva are a terrific way to finish off a shave. Sorry for not showing any photos.

Thursday, March 20, 2014 Prep: warm wash with Stirling Barbershop Lather: Stirling MITA Brush: Stirling Badger Razor: Merkur 34HD Blade: Wilkinson Sword (1) Post: Cold rinse and Old Spice AS Purposefully did not use my PSO this morning and could not tell much difference. I may cut that out in the future. Wilkinson Sword blade did a fine job. The Stirling MITA gave me good cooling lather and the Old Spice reminds me of my youth (damn, was I old even as a teenager?) 3 passes, DFS.
6/8 Hart PPF Ciderhouse 5 Plisson Synthetic Nice shave this morning. The Hart is a consistent excellent shaver. I'll reserve comment on the Plisson until I get a couple more shaves but I think Jesse (moz) is spot on via our PM's on his assessment of it's performance. He was kind enough to send me the Plisson and a Rooney to try out. Have a good one.

Dove Men's Face Wash C.O. Bigelow Shave Soap Parker Black Badger '62 Gillette Slim Voskhod Teflon Coated (1) CWR Thayers Cucumber WH Aqua Velva Ice Blue Today was the first shave using C.O. Bigelow Shave Soap. I received it in a pif by @Badger-Face recently. I face lathered the COB with my Parker black badger brush. The eucalyptus made for a really cool shave, and the cold water rinse was especially invigorating. Two passes with the '62 Gillette Slim and Voskhod Teflon Coated blade were smooth and effortless. It left me near BBS. After that invigorating cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Cucumber WH and Aqua Velva Ice Blue after shave. It was quite a nice shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
SOTD March 20 -- Blade safari day 45 Prep: hot shower Razor: WW2 Gillette Khaki with ball end handle Blade: Perma-Sharp Super (day 4) Brush: Vie-Long Soap: Proraso Green Passes: 2 (WTG, XTG) Post: Nivea Men cool kick I want to put a replay button on today's shave! Although the lather didn't start out looking good, it came out great! Lots of glide and protection, lots of lather, and a nice menthol hint that I don't normally get from the Proraso Green. The Perma-Sharp started out nice and sharp and almost delivered a DFS with zero irritation, even with touch ups.

The 2011 R41 gives an amazingly close shave. I soaked the Williams while I was in the shower. I only had to load the brush for about 20 seconds and the lather was overflowing the bowl. My efforts rewarded me with a Baby Butt Smooth shave. Have a blessed day!
