31oz of shaving soap for $16? Arko is unbeatable when it comes to value and holds its own against any soap costing many times over. The Stirling soap I intend to give another shot. The first time I used it I was irritated by the scent and found it left lots of residue on my face. I also ordered some bath soaps and found I had received a sample of Scots Pine Sheep bath soap as a freebie.
I can smell the Arko from here. Nice haul! And you're right, Arko can't be beaten for price / performance.
I was gifted this Feather Weight by lurker @cruncheee who I helped get started with SEs. Hopefully he will come join us and learn and contribute to this community.
These actually arrived over the last several weeks, just getting around to listing them now... At the insistence of @Lutebro I picked up a WSP razor for evaluation: Which in turn lead me to order a WSP boar brush for evaluation: And with all the gab around here I looked at some Sterling soap samples, and got intrigued by the razor they offer: And finally Dale (@PanChango ) is to blame for this Omega 10065, due to his numerous recommendations for a budget starter boar:
Today new Equipment arrived: (in the order from left to right) Denim Aftershave Denim Shave Cream Palmolive Rinfrescante Shave Cream Salthouse "Totes Meer" Aftershave Balm
I picked up 5 old razors on the bay, but my biggest haul this month was a silver plated shaving stand.
It is actually a tiny bit convex. It is slightly magnifying. My face appears about 20% bigger than in a regular mirror.
Final 'take' for the month of March (a busy one!)… A container of Valobra Fougere—an Italian soap which I had been desiring to try for some time. Fairly pricey ($28 for 100g)—but still not as expensive as MdC Fourgere! An impulse buy (!) on an aggressively-priced German-made Imperial razor. In quite decent shape, too. Probably the last thing I needed, though, was another straight. Good to have to practice my honing skills.
Today my package from Canada has arrived... Fatip Grande "Gun Metal Black" and shower gel from Pino Silvestre "Mediterraneo" ...here Piccolo and Grande together... ...and at last...
