Thank you. Will do! I've only had it a few days and haven't yet used it.......been admiring it, however. It's like a brand new razor, and almost too pretty to use. The TTO works beautifully and holds the blade tight and true. It was a "just released" buy-it-now on eBay from a seller that doesn't appear to sell razors much, if at all. Considering the price and the "near mint" description, I decided I had to act quickly, or it would be gone. I'm so glad I did!
Wow! That IS the exact same set. And, apparently, it is gold plated....I wasn't completely sure. I love the old razor ads. Thank you very much for posting this, Tom.
Quick question: I have a Gem Pushbutton. I assume I can't put plastic in Barbacide. How can I sterilize this razor? Thanks.
Man, I wanna know which razor the cat on the left is using...now thats a close shave I tell ya....But I still think I'll stick with the GEM...lol!! Thanks Tom, you killin me with these great vintage ads...
I picked up a type M3 Adjustable at an antique store yesterday. It cleaned up easily and I put it to use on a 3 day growth this morning. Wow! Using the most aggressive setting, I got a BBS with 2 passes, something previously achieved only with a Ziglar slant. I prefer the look of the earlier Eversharps, but the Adjustable will be my main razor for a long time to come.
I've been wanting to take one of these injectors for a spin for a while now. I picked up an E2 a little while ago and finally got around to getting some blades for the darned thing! So I'm looking forward to putting it to good use in the near future.
This morning was my first shave with a Schick E2 I picked up a while back. Very comfortable and a fairly close shave too. The blade was a Personna, stainless I think. From one of the 20 blade cartridges. I like how the spring pivots to one side to allow the blade guard to come away somewhat from the back of the razor - sure makes cleaning it easy. I plan to stay with the Schick for the next few days, but the inaugural shave was pretty darn good!
