The frightening thing about that is there is someone out there who would probably buy them.

I am using a jam jar as a blade bank. I would like to get a proper, ornamental one you sometimes see on e bay but the jar will do for now. Plus when its full it will make a great weapon against a home invasion or zombie apocalypse :).

imagesXLG8KDBQ.jpg I use a Hershey's syrup can that comes with the plastic lid. Just cut a slot in the plastic top and your rockin'. Works great.

Yesterday I bought a coin bank from dollar store and then I covered it with a handmade label. It's not small, I think I can use it for 1-2 years at least.

Its like you was inside my head =P

Because the coin bank is so big I thought about cutting in in the middle and pushing the bottom part into the top part like its a lid =P to shorten in and so it lakes less room. But it's risky hahaha it will be sharp as a knife.

If the label is paper you might wanna tape around it to cover it with a layer of tape. That would protect the paper from moist =P just a thought

Yeah cutting it in the middle can be risky it's better to keep it as it is :)
That's right, I used paper as a cover. That's a good idea to cover it around with tape. Thanks for the heads up man ;) Appreciated :)

As my current generic blade bank is nearly full, it is time to introduce another bank…

'EveryReady— The Razor You Treasure'—at least with this vintage bank, I can remove the lid when full, empty it and reuse the bank.
The top states, "For Old blades"—this is in case one is inclined to use it for new blades, I suppose. ;)

Looks good. That shows that it doesn't have to be an ugly can =P but what to do with the blades when full? You'll need something to throw them away in =P hmm.. We'll cross that bridge when it comes

Just make sure it is sealed securely. Someone (such as a member of your household or a trash collector) could get hurt, otherwise.

You could always get yourself a pint or quart sized sharps container from your local pharmacy and empty it in there. Once full you can just take the sharps container to an appropriate disposal location.

I just use the plastic containers some of my blades came in. There is a slot on the bottom to put your used blades in. Once I run out of those I don't know which way I'll choose to dispose of them. Maybe I'll throw the rest of my Derby blades out just for their cases ;)

Been using mine since I started DE/SE/INJ shaving about 5 years ago. House was built in the '50s and I can tell from the time it takes a dropped blade to *clink* that the void isn't nearly full.

As nsomnac mentioned, one can use the medical/hazardous sharps containers from the pharmacies. Having two diabetics in the house, we've no shortages of these containers. Once a blade bin gets full, into the sharps container they go. I could go directly from razor to sharps container, but I prefer NOT to have a big ol' red hazard container in my shaving sanctuary. ;)

The plastic dispenser they came in has a place on the back to put the used ones. When the front is empty and the back is full I throw them out.

I use a bullion jar. Thick glass with a screw on top.
