Wacker TOBS Sandalwood homemade brush Blizzard today and the worst is in front of us yet, so far the wind is only blowing around 3o mph but it's supposed to increase this afternoon. It's a little early for Mother Nature to give up without a fight but I was hoping. Nice shave this morning. Have a good one.
SOTD March 31 -- Blade safari day 56 Vacation Shave! Prep: hot towel Razor: WW2 Gillette Khaki Tech Blade: Rapira (day 4) Brush: Wilkinson Sword Cream: Musgo Real Classic Passes: 2 (WTG, XTG) Post: alum, Arko Ice Mint First day of vacation so I took a late afternoon shave. Prep was quick not very good, but somehow I was able to save the shave, or my tools were able to save it.... It's been awhile since I've used either the Musgo Real or Wilkinson Sword, but both worked great today.

Tabacstag! Superb shave, as usual with Tabac! This is my most often used soap for a reason. Optimal performance with a pleasant scent is hard to beat. Today I used a mostly dry HIS synthetic to whip up yogurt-like lather with ease. The Silver Blue blades are very nice in my SC101... So far, every blade I've tried has worked well, the biggest variable being longevity. I usually toss the blade after three shaves, so that is not really an issue. I know now that I can get great shaves on the cheap using Astra SP, which do not work well in my other razors for some reason. Krampert's never fails to wrap up my shaves right. Prep: Shea Moisture TBS Soap: Tabac! Brush: HIS every week is synthetic week for me! Razor: iKon Shavecraft 101 Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (2) Coconut bay butter balm before ATG AS: Krampert's Finest Bay Rum EDT: Tabac! Hair cream: Tabac!
Tyr's Day: Prep: Hot shower, Healthy Accents Daily Renewal Cleanser, TSD Jasmine Sambac Preshave balm Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger Soap: Ginger's Garden Grapefruit Mint Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (3) Passes: WTG, XTG, ATG (5, 6, 7) Post: Cold water rinse, Dickinson's WH, Aveeno Active Naturals ASB Cologne: Burberry Brit by Burberry The blade had perfectly rounded into shape, giving three effortless and comfortable passes and BBS results with no weepers or nicks. This made me all the more puzzled to note a small amount of irritation cropping up on my neck as I was leaving the shave den, having already applied the ASB and cologne. I'm not sure how that worked.

Tuesday: L'Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/Sharp day 2 QCS Vostok SC Thayers Witch Hazel Floid Classic AS Santos de Cartier EdT OMG, this Vostok cream is frigidly-cold and nice - the lather whips up fast, and it's so rich and stable. It also moisturizes and protects the skin very well. The Sharp blade seems to be holding up quite decently although it's not as smooth as the Rapiras. The witch hazel and the Floid Classic aftershave felt great and made the end of this awesome shave a delight.
