    That is amazing! I hope they clean up nice and you can use them. I don't know much about Straights but they look well used but bell cared for and restoreable to me. My favorite piece is that little travel kit. That would be neat use while traveling and knowing the are from family makes them more special.

    Those are great. Make sure that you do something for your Dad before you loose him. They are gone before you know it and realize it. You do not know how many times I want to ask my Dad or my Father-in-law about how to do something or ask "Hey Dad or Pops what would you do with this?"

    I love hearing how he passed them down to you. I've got an old star 1912 that was my grandfathers in my rotation.

    Totally agree! I could care less about what the gear may or may not be worth. The sentimental value is PRICELESS!!
