1. Thanks for all the "likes." Unfortunately, I must retract my final statement. The lighting in the bathroom at church revealed that my neck is shredded. It doesn't hurt much, but it looks terrible.

    Prep: hot towel, Proraso pre-shave
Razor: George Wostenholm & Son Celebrated I-XL
    Razor: Aristocrat TTO Open Comb
    Blade: Merkur (day 2)
    Brush: Vie-Long
    Soap: Margaritas in the Arctic
    Passes: 2 (WTG, XTG)
    Post: alum

Bad shave today. I was planning on only using the straight, but just didn't feel comfortable on my neck so I grabbed the Aristocrat to finish with. Two passes with the straight on the face left me shy of a DFS, and a few cuts.
The Aristocrat did get me a DFS on my neck, but plenty or razor burn with it.
I haven't decided if I will take a shave break tomorrow yet...
  3. Jim I wasn't sure if you had a brush under that beautiful lather. Wow!

Stirling whips up so nice it almost takes the fun at of lathering. Margaritas in the attic smells so great! It's 5 o'clock somewhere.
    Go out and get it!

  5. Yeah that Semogue badger/boar mix churned up some serious White Lightning lather! As long as it stops shedding Ill be very happy I picked it up.

First of a couple travel shaves. Shaved early this morning but just now getting around to posting. Remembered to pack everything but a plastic bowl for making lather but then got lucky making a random stop at an antique mall where I picked up a few razors (I'll get them posted in The Haul later this week) and an early 60's Old Spice mug.
Today's razor still had the paper blade in it when I bought it a few months ago and it's super clean so I'm guessing today was it's first actual shave ever since it's birth in 1968. It's an aluminum handle so I had a bit of a time with it trying to get good control but I ended up with a very fine shave thanks to good prep, excellent lather, and the Voskhod Teflon.

The first using my Dad's Super Speed. A few weepers with the Astra but that was the first with that blade as well. Good blades. Overall, it was a very good head and face shave!
