SoS: April 7, 2014 - April 13, 2014

I started with 5/8, moved up to the 6/8 Dubl Duck that I bought from Glen which was wonderful and only last month picked up this 7/8 Bengall and honed it myself from the ground up. I find for some reason I control it a little better, I may need to get a modern Thiers Issard in the same size to compare and see if its the Sheffield steel vs Solingen, or the size to be sure (That's my reasoning to my wife).

Tabacstag!
The pre-shave soap was comfortable and clean smelling, and I was able to easily lather my Tabac right over it. The key to excellent lathering with my HIS brush is to use it with less water. It makes creamier, slicker lather this way and was especially satisfying this morning. Everything worked well for a four star shave with BBS cheeks and DFS neck.

It's pretty light, but I don't have any other Jasmine scents to compare it to.
It is a nice refreshing smell though. I enjoy it.

I normally do not buy or use the 4/8 straights that often but, this Geneva was a special case. It's a beauty and a very diminuative and nimble razor. The shave was super close and comfortable. I have been wanting to pick up a Geneva for a long time and some times even a blind hog finds an acorn. (Even on E-bay!) lol This one is a keeper.

My 1st time using WSO's Zaro. Zaro explodes off the puck! A rich thick slick lather! The scent smells very expense. WSO is a must buy! Jim's customer service is exceptional.
The ER1914 is a great razor! It's in my top 3. After 2 shaves it's that solid!
Go out and get it!

excellent smooth shave. The MMOC has a reputation as a very aggressive razor but it can produce a closer shave with less irritation than a SS. It just requires a bit more skill...

A fantastic shave, with my new Mach 3 Sensitive! Barbasol and the Semogue boar is the best brush and canned goo combo I've ever tried. I just needed to use the right brush. Aces!

Arlington is the smell of Spring... Honeysuckle and citrus blossoms to my nose. DFS today.

 

Thank you Guy! I like those wood handled Barbershop Brushes. Reminds me of "Old School" barbershops of my youth.

 

You have no idea how glad I am to hear this as I just picked up that identical razor and cannot wait to go over it , get it shave ready, and take it for a spin!

Congrats! You will enjoy the Geneva very much. It is a smooth shaver and this smallish 4/8, thin handled razor can mow'em down right along with the big boys! Is it a Special A? Great aquisition!

I'm only an every other day shaver but a few dress up events have required being extra clean the last couple of days so I think my face will be happy to take a rest tomorrow. My little bit of irritation from yesterday didn't get today off like it needed.
