SOTD APRIL 12 Prep-Hot shower with Yardley English Lavender soap Hot towels Soap-VdH Deluxe Brush-VdH Boar Strop-Musicians Friend Razor#1-Boker American Line SS St Louis Razor#2-Lady Gillette Blade-Family Dollar Dorco(2) Post Cold towels Old Spice AS Feeling a bit better today, but still sick. Two passes with the straight, clean up pass with the DE. My technique is getting better with the straight, I think, but still get a closer shave with the DE. Dorco is still cutting smooth. Changed my routine a bit, and lathered with the VdH deluxe while stropping, then applied hot towels over that. Re lathered before the shave. I like this a lot. It seems to moisturize my face much more. Will be a permanent part of the routine, I think. Have a great shave!
I've seen pictures of this soap, and read peoples' comments about it, for months. But until I saw this picture, I thought it was "Margaritas in the Attic."

I agree the SMBASSBC (!) won't replace any soaps in my lineup, but it is a nice addition. Slick & exceptional skin care are a tough combo to beat!
True, but I'm thinking the Arctic may not be the ideal place for a chilled drink either…unless one waits for the Spring thaw.

Great shave for Subarctic Saturday. The Lea Menthol is a good cream. It comes from Spain. It's also extremely cooling. Once again, the Schick Krona and Personna Med Prep came through for me. And how could I not use Krampert's Frostbite on Subarctic Saturday? DFS shave today.

~ Provence Sante, Green Tea face lathered with a Black Badger knot (TGN) set in a Calvin Klein handle that is solid aluminum. All in a CK stand and bowl that reside on the bathroom counter. ~ Parker 22R loaded with a Personna medical prep. ~ Norelco trimmers and surgical scissors for a trim and a snip snip here and there. ~ Clinique moisturizer followed by my handcrafted grapefruit aftershave. Provence Sante, green tea remains one of my favorite soaps. From the fresh clean scent to performnce. I simply love this brush. When I bought it and the stand around 10 years ago, it had a boar bristle knot. It worked okay for a few years considering that I several other brushes. It finally got to a point it was losing several hairs per shave. Hence the black badger knot. The weight and balance of this handle is amazing. The Parker razor has amazed me since the date of it's purchase several years ago. It was one of my first modern razor purchases and I never had a lick of the QC issues that were rumored. Thankfully I have another full bottle of my grapefruit after shave even though this one is nearly full. This was only my second attempt at an after shave and only my first that was citrus based. It has enough moisturizing capability to be used alone rather than with my Clinique
