turning razor handles/and buying a de lc head

I am wanting to make my own long comb 3piece razor I will be turning my own handle I just need the de safety razor head and finishing pieces woodcrafters does not sell a kit for double edge safety razors.any suggestions?
Has any members tried to make their own razors?Take care 45auto

I've wondered about this, including trying to 3-D print heads (to possibly sand cast) but to at least prototype a working model.

 

I use a custom turned aluminum handle on my english LC and I absolutely love it. I however, did not make the handle myself.

 

Muhle sells the R89 and R41 heads on their own. That would be the way to go....then all you need to do is turn the handle.

 

Penworks / TGN had the Merkur heads at one time.
